Left side of my neck painful, accompanied by headaches, ear

Hi, would you be able to share what treatment were you given and if helped you. Your symptoms sound very close to what my mom is currently suffering.

I am getting an MRI in two days and I have had terrible pain, generally getting worse in the evenings that anti-inflammatories no longer help. The have ruled-out the following: TMJ, dental cavities (4 massively infected teeth were pulled-and dentists didn't understand why I did not feel them, nor did they understand why I can't feel 8 of the teeth in my lower jaw); diabetes, Lyme disease, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, rhumetoid arthritis. This problem started 8 years ago and has gotten more pronounced and now is debilitating- I work but either have ear pain and pressure or mild nausea and malase. I appreciate you telling me what you had because I am hoping now just to finally find out. I had a cyst removed surgically last week that had formed in left maxillary sinus as result of a massive tooth infection (tooth was pulled). That was not it. I have another symptom that is if I press in front of left ear with headphones for 1.5 hours I vomit. I also can cause myself to hear much better by inserting a Q-tip partly in my ear and pushing forward-nobody believes me when I tell them this but the difference is pronounced. I have had multiple hearing tests which show that I have hearing loss in left ear. I have been to allergy specialists, multiple doctors, multiple ENT'S, had septum-straightening surgery; and tried all sorts of nasal sprays, etc. At this point I am just hoping that the MRI reveals something. I am soooooo miserable and tired of not knowing what it is. I am not even sure why I am writing this accept to tell my story and perhaps someone else out there with my symptoms will be able to identify the way I have with your story. I will repost if MRI reveals anything. If not, I am going to wait, if I can, for the appointment with the neuralogist (3 months out!!). I might try to take either one of the two nerve drugs they guessed at nortryptilin or gabepentim. I tried St John's Wart but I can't tell if it is doing anything or not.

Hey, what you're experiencing, is nothing but a panic atrack. Listen to yourself, you're creating your own symptoms, by thinking all the what ifs. You've had all the test done,all come back normal. Soooo?.
Chill out, and STOP OVER THINKING, AND OVER ANALYSING. And you'll be just fine.
Your symptoms, are classic signs of an anxiety disorder. Which is nothing serious. I get them all the time.

Myself I has surgery 2weeks ago. And the next day couldn't move my head or it went into spasms....2weeks 3 Days later and still having neck issues..from my clavicle up my neck front an side to my ear..my head it a extremely painful nummy feeling. Like when u hav hair into a ponytail for two long..cannot touch my hair ...along the base of my scull temple, and top of ear all on left side hurt...Help

Find a Lyme Literate doctor and get tested for Lyme disease please. You have very typical symptoms. All of them.

I had the same problem that I am reading about here. Turns out that I have Meniers disease. It's an iner ear condition. Fluids build up inside my ear. It can last for weeks. I have found mecklizine does help
