I had the ablation procedure in 2014 due to very heavy bleeding during my cycle which caused me to become anemic and EXTREMELY painful cramps. I did get some relief from the heavy bleeding to stop anemia, but now I am in so much pain during my period I can hardly get out of bed. The pain is so severe I am prescribed a strong pain medication monthly. I feel the cramps in my lower abdomen, lower back and down my legs!
My doctor tells me now my only option is a hysterectomy. I was not advised of all the additional risks that came with my medical history of 3 c-sections and a tubal ligation. I may have opted to have the hysterectomy to begin with if I was informed of all my risks.
It has caused me depression issues just knowing EVERY month I have to experience this pain. I don't want to other women to have to go through what I have if I can help it.
