I have all these syptoms decsibed by all the worried people on here, I hope that the answers are helping you, I just had a thought I am taking Orlistat a medicine to help me lose weight my lightheadiness has come about since then, I am just tring to think what else could be the culprit my doctor says I have vertigo but it comes on while I am lying in bed or rising and sitting up, another sign regarding dehydration is for a time now I have been getting a dry mouth, could this be pointing to a need for more water? I do get anxious of course and that does breed anxiety itself I am a worrying type of person anyway when I look up or down thats seems to aggrivate the problem could that be the pointer to my middle ear problem and vertigo I did hear that a middle ear infection can cause vertigo if thats the answer.

My husband thinks it could be related to blood pressure in some way as I am on blood pressure tablets, could that be the answer as blood pressure goes low when you are lying down or sitting in a chair so when you get up quickly it tries to rise but does not quite make it in time so that your brain is temporarily starved of oxygen, ie dizzyness, also the tabs are trying to keep it lower, I am also a borderline diabetic, am I experiencing low blood sugar ? or is it really vertigo as my doctor says who is right as there does not seem to be an answer yet for sure even from them or we would all be cured in double quick time.

Anyway folks I just had to give my side of the story I hope you all get better whatever the answer is GOOD LUCK and keep your chin up no pun intended.

Im a 22 year old male, Ive just recently started to feel this feeling of lightheadedness and somewhat dizziness. It all began Tuesday April 10, today is wednesday April 18th. I went to work on tuesday, in the morning I felt fine and normal, everything was business as usual. i went to work, and as I was driving i noticed i became dizzy and lightheaded, but i shrugged it off because i thought my eyes were strained (I work as a Driver). I arrived at work and then soon left to begin my route. while on my route i felt like fainting. before I get to my first destination I arrived at a CVS where I experienced an anxiety attack. I was sent to the ER where they took blood, urine, and an EKG test. everything came out healthy and normal. I was dizzy but more a sensation of lightheadedness after being released 4-5 hours later. I went to my doctor the next day feeling lightheaded, and I noticed i couldnt keep my head up without feeling dizzy/lightheaded. the doc. asked what i felt and all I could explain was LH/Dizzy. but that wasnt exactly how I felt and I couldnt describe it exactly. I was told I was dehydrated, and lacked nutrition perhaps, eventhough my blood work didnt show dehydration nor did the BP in different position test thing. So i followed dr. orders.  but it cont'd!!!  I took motion sickness pills, but didnt work. I tried vitamins, no luck. then i went back and I was prescribed Xanax, for anxiety, i did not accept because anxiety was not the issue!! nor was nausea. so I decided to just rest for 3 days. I was in bed all day for 3 days, not knowing what was wrong with me. I noticed I was better as I lay in bed, but when i walked around I felt the lightheaded sensation again! I did not feel sick, I felt normal with the exception of the LH sensation! So i went back to the Dr. on Monday, this time for a eye exam and a  follow-up. the eye exam revealed nothing I had 20/20 vision I was banking on the fact that my eyes were the problem. so when i asked my Dr. after the exam, it was still inconclusive. she has no idea yet! so, i decided to just stay home and meditate. I had Reiki performed on me, a Japanese energy healing procedure, and although I have seen it work for healing of many others including pets, it didnt not work for me (it did reveal with out me revealing any details of myself that i was under tremendous stress) . Today, I know this..... I am perfectly fine lying down, watching TV, computer, anything. but when I get up and raise my head, and keep it elevated i feel the LH sensation. when I place my hands over my head or rest my head on my hand or anything I feel fine! earlier today I decided to swich things up and go to the park and meditate, tune out negativity and just experience nature. i lay on the grass, breathed in and out, sat up and posed with my legs crossed and wrists on knees. I also noticed a beautiful girl running in the park. so with all this i stood up and realized it was all gone!! i walked jogged, and everything was fine again! i thought wow!!!! but as soon as that 30 or so min. passed i went back to feeling the sensation again. I back to square 1. tomorrow I have another Dr. appointment, an acupuncture appt. on the weekend, and a nuerology Dr. appt. next week today.  I thought I was the only one Feeling this, but in some wierd way im relieved to know others know what I Feel. I will definatley post if anything with a "cure" comes my way. hope you all well and remember live stress free and happy :)

I get those dizzy spells too, to the point that I feel like I'm going to pass out but don't. It happened while I was driving the other day and gave me quite a BIG scare! I have asked the Doctor about it and he just said to write down when and how long they last, but they don't happen that often that I forget. I would say like every 4 to 5 months. Also I need to add that I lost my hearing in my right ear, I went to the ENT specialist and they don't really know why and they just said it could or could Not come back :( so my dizzness could be associated with Vertigo, I don't know? ??

My goodness, I know the feeling! I was also diagnosed with a GAD (generalized anxiety disorder). I had my first "episode" in November 2011. I was constantly light headed like I was dehydrated or something, but no matter how much I drank, this feeling would not subside. I had a constant headache with it and every time I moved or looked somewhere too fast or too steeply, I felt like I had stood up too fast with that weird dizzy fog and then a surge of blood. I got home from my road-trip (when it started), and went straight to the doctor. He prescribed me motion sickness medicine and antibiotics because it SOUNDED like I was fighting an infection. I got feeling a little bit better and that crazy head sensation went away for awhile. But, then, it would come back. It would come back anytime I felt stressed out. It was a constant fog where every time I moved or I was looking around too fast or steep, I'd get that crazy blood-surged light-headed feeling and had a CONSTANT headache with it. It didn't matter how much water I drank it just wouldn't go away. Recently, these episodes have become more frequent and more intense. It used to be that these "episodes" would typically run in three day cycles. Intense for two days, tapering the third day, and then a fourth day, practically symptom free. Even if I had two episodes in a row, that was how it usually went. Well, recently, I have been extremely stressed after having come home from college fighting sickness, watching my Grandmother die, look for a job, get a job, go to school full-time on-line, drop all of my classes because of working full-time, get fired from my job three weeks later for a reason they refused to tell, and right after having family come to town for my grandmother's memorial. I was really stressed out and started having back-to-back episodes and now there's just no break in the symptoms. Nothing I do helps. I can only sleep and even then I have started to have constant nightmares or stressful dreams. I've gotten to the point where I just want to give up. It's one thing to have emotional stuff going on, but still have your health. I'm just beginning to realize how hard dealing with both is. It's just this constant fog where everything is a dull throbbing and a weird floating, surging sensation. I would think if there were enough of us experiencing these issues, there would be a doctor who would want to study this stuff and figure out what it is. I would, if I were a doctor. I just feel so bad for those around me because it has become increasingly hard to keep my patience, I have no motivation to do much of anything, I don't want to eat because I'm practically constantly nauseous, and I just don't know what to do. Another question I am having is, why are there so many young people dealing with this? Is it mostly dominant in females? What kind of food, drink, sleep, and exercise habits do we have? Are there any generally common?

I've written a lot, but I also just want to let you know that I will be starting a blog to conduct a "study" on myself. In this blog, I will be describing my symptoms and keeping a daily log of my exercise, food, drink, and sleep and then describe the severity of my symptoms that day. If I cannot discover what this is, I can at least figure out what helps and what doesn't. If you would like to participate in this journey with me and give in-put of your own or start a blogging network with me, I welcome you to. We need support in this craziness and confusion and we need to find ways to make it better through changing our life-styles and sticking together. I know I don't want to feel alone in this.

Hi Everybody,

Well, It's been several weeks since Ive Posted on here, and here is what is new: So Acupuncture didnt help me, although It may help others. I was diagnosed "GAD", which is General Anxiety Disorder. I've been prescribed Xanax, Prozac, & Meclizine (Motion Sickness)... I haven't taken either because Im more of a natural guy. But My symptoms have droped in severity. sometimes Im not dizzy at All! It really depends on the stress of the day. so my advice is to relax, take a few days for yourself and don't panic. I know its hard to not look at every symptom that pops up and start to worry the worst! I personally have, at the moment, Dry mouth, mild abdominal pain, some heartburn, pee-ing more than usual ect. Ive had my heart, blood 3x, & stool checked. Ive been seen by 6 doctors, and I am going to to get an CTscan on my pelvic & chest area, and an MRI of my head. after thinking the worst every time before a test. Ive been reassured evertime that its not a life threatening illness im having.. I believe the panic Attack I had Unbalanced my body and caused them to go haywire! but when i relax It seems to almost go away

I am been feeling light headed and dizzy since 2003. I got it on and off in the past years, but it got worse in 2012. I am LH an Dizzy 24/7. My normal life is disrupted. I forget things easily. I feel drained out all the time. I don feel like doing anything.

I think it could be because of egg allergies or some other food allergy. I eat our at an asian resutant and my dizzy feeling gets worse. I could very well be somethign else.

Please please let me know if you find a solution. I am planning on seeing a herbrlist this week.

I hope we have an answer soon...

Good luck
