Hey all I have some suggestions that might help, its the same old thing but it works.....lol
1. Healthy diet lots of fruits and juices
2. Maintain regular stamina and cardio vascular exercise
3. Relaxation and stress relief is very important (breathing technique's and simply learning what makes you happy!)

Basically some people's bodies suffer this malfunction due to a number of things like getting older, lifestyle, stress, etc
In the worst circumstance there could be more serious underlying reasons for your symptoms.
I also think the internet gives too many different opinions on health problems, so i would suggest these basic instructions without mentioning to much but keep in touch with your doctor and keep healthy....

i suffer from this too, i only suffer now and then but i feel really light headed and last night nearly fell over i went that dizzy i also feel really weak and sort of hungry. i get confused sometimes when i feel like this and even get an attitude or stress out on ppl but i cant help it i try to stop or take deep breaths to control myself i also get annoyed from the slightest thing and just tell people to stop and call them a name like stop doin that u f`ing D**k head it does scare me cuz im not like that usually im easy going and friendly.

also one night i had a quiet drink with my fiance`s cousin i only had 2-3 cans of lager then i came home went to bed but felt weak ect i woke up around 2 hours later to go to the toilet and i remember being stood at the toilet to have a wee and then feeling really faint and started sweating like mad then i blacked out as if i had gone bak to sleep for a second and then my vision came bak and it was blurry but when i came bak round after the second i was facing the ceiling and i could hear my gf on the phone to someone crying sayin hes not breathing and he is having a fit i looked at her and said babe who are u on the phone to at this time of night it was the emergency services i had fainted and was fitting on the floor makin horrible noises and tenceing up badly and i also stopped breathing at one point she only knew i had fainted because of a crashing noise when i hit the floor and she woke up and i wasnt in the bed anyway i was still sweating like mad but now i felt sick and sat up and hugged the toilet and threw up for a bit for the next week i was aching all over im guessing from the tenceing up but when i got blood tests ect i was "Fit And Healthy" this scared the hell out of me and my fiance and i never drank for months after it but damn id love to know what made me pass out that night!!!

I too have had this problem for more than 15 years. Some times it goes for a year or more without recurring but then still comes back. Doctors have basically ignored my symptoms and complaints. It almost feels as though someone has pushed me hard and fast. It's even more of a concern when it happens when I'm driving. I've often wondered if they are a form of a mild convulsion.

Sounds like we have enough people with the same symptoms to classify the condition as something the doctors should take on as a legitamate issue. The real problem with this dizzy / brain fog feeling is it keeps us from doing and acheiving the things in life that we want. It intrudes on every thing that I do.
There is a Doctor around the Boston area that has peaked my intrest.

If anyone wants to visit his website, it's;

I had many similar symptoms as all of you.... i got diagnosed with adrenal fatigue and food allergies. I look all natural adrenal meds (adrenal cortex) and have eliminated dairy soy and wheat completley and I feel soooooo much better. Good luck!

i have suffered this for 2 years now and was told after numerous tests from the doctor that it was lack of salt in my diet. I always have salted peanuts in the house and if i feel a little lightheaded i eat a handful which seems to work. Hope this helps

Wow. I didn't realise so many people suffer with the same problem. I have been having dizzy spells on and off for about 5 years. I've had full blood work ups, my cholesterol and sugar tested and everything is fine. In the last few days it has been getting significantly worse and I'm really getting worried now. I'm wondering if my blood tests are all normal, whether it's a postural issue? I tend to sit infront of the computer quite abit & my posture is not so good so could this be what's causing the problem? Any ideas anyone?

Hello
I have had dizziness for years now. One time when I was working outside (I was only 24 at the time) I stood up and lost conciousness and fell into a pile of terra cotta pots. I woke up on the ground very sore and confused. Now it has been so long I have learned to know when its going to happen and I drop to my knees to keep from getting injured. I have tried staying extra hydrated, taking my vitamins and eating super healthy, I was prior military and practically force myself to workout through the dizziness to keep in shape. I feel its like troubleshooting a car, u look at what could be causing it. It only happens when I stand so I would logically say its lack of blood to my brain. I have had my blood pressure checked, a 24 hr heart monitor, every blood test in the world and nothing! It happens whether I am stressed or not but generally I am calm person. My doctor even says I am in great health. I don't know what to do and I am at a loss....

HAVE YOU CONSIDERED SINUS PROBLEMS. PERHAPS TRY USING A NETI POT FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS TO CLEAN OUT YOUR SINUSES. ALSO, BLOCKED EARS CAN CAUSE IT. I GET VERY LIGHT HEADED AND DIZZY WHEN MY SINUSES DRY OUT IN THE WINTER.

ALSO, NEW GLASSES CAN CAUSE THE PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY IF THE PRESCRIPTION IS WRONG.

I am having the same symptoms except mine are 24/7...i constantly feel light headed or dizzy, see stars sometimes, feel weird pressures around my head, have mild chest pains, etc and have nearly passed out. Generally speaking i am not a stressful person and don't have anxiety so the diagnosis of anxiety is hard for me to swallow. I have had blood work and it is ok except for cholesterol but that isn't causing this. I am having an MRI today on my brain to see if there is anything there, nervous about that ill admit. My doctors are trying to figure it out but this is a tough one because other than these symptoms i appear healthy. If anyone has any ideas that haven't previously been mentioned in the thread that would be great! Best of luck to all of us

Maybe you have LOW IRON LEVELS... (iron deficiency anemia)
up to 12% of women aged 12 - 49 years are iron deficient.
Pregnant women and women on lower incomes are more likely to be iron deficient.

Maybe if you try eating the following foods, this will help the dizzyness!

Foods that are a good source of iron include:
liver
lean red meats, including beef, pork, lamb
seafood, such as oysters, clams, tuna, salmon, and shrimp, etc.
beans, including kidney, lima, navy, black, pinto, soy beans, and lentils
iron fortified whole grains, including cereals, breads, rice, and pasta
greens, including collard greens, kale, mustard greens, spinach, and turnip greens
tofu
vegetables, including broccoli, swiss chard, asparagus, parsley, watercress, brussel sprouts

Also, how about a sinus infection??

GOOD LUCK!

Hi,
I know this post is old but I just wanted to add my reply and share about myself. I started this very same thing you all explained here probably a few months ago. I didn't go see the doctor but I really think it has to do with anxiety. Because just about 2 years ago I've been extremely depressed and stressed having to do with the loss of my fiance as well. Anyway, if you guys would watch your breathing carefully do you guys catch yourself holding in your breath? I once googled and found something about people holding in the breath without knowing and for me when I catch myself doing that, it is when I have the light headaches and feeling nausea right away! Also, this is strange, and I wonder if I'm the only one experiencing this but every time when I have to urinate or a minute into holding in my pee, I can't breate, or so can't breathe right and I would take deep breaths to help, and this is also when the light heaches and nausea comes in as well.

I want this to go away, I want to be like how I used to but so far looks like it's only getting more worse with me, it would happen more often for me, and NO, I didn't have to think about this for it to happen. I can be happy and out enjoying my life, but this thing would interfer!
