I have a daughter that has allergy, with all its symptoms. I guess anyone who will read or answer my post will know what I mean. Anyway, her condition required some drug to help her. Doctor recommended and prescribed her Loratidine. I want to hear if anyone used this drug, so maybe could tell me something about it.

I had experienced all these allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and red, itchy, tearing eyes. My doctor also prescribed me Loratadine, saying it is used to relieve hay fever and allergy symptoms, including all these I suffered. During my therapy with this medicine, I found out that Loratadine is in a class of medications called antihistamines. It works by blocking histamine, which is substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. Good thing about Loratadine is that usually it may cause less drowsiness than some other antihistamines. The only advice I have to give you is to follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Try not to take more or less of Loratdine, or take it more often than prescribed. It is important that you tell your daughter’s doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications she is taking. My experience with Loratidine was extremely good, and I did not have any side effects. I have heard side effects are rare, but are possible to occur, such as headaches, dry mouth, nose, and throat, or drowsiness.
