MY HUSBAND JUST HAD A HEART CATH. THE DR. SAID HIS HEART IS ONLY WORKING AT 40 PERCENT. MY HUSBAND HAS NEVER HAD HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE IN HIS LIFE, YET THE DR. GAVE HIM THREE MEDICATIONS FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. SOMETIME HIS BLOOD PRESSURE WITH DROP TO 90 OVER 47 WITH A HEART RATE OF 50 OR 60.
I JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS ONE FOR THE LIFE OF ME.
Check with the doctor about this. For this condition usually meds will be prescribed to boost the blood pressure whereas HBP meds are given to lower it. After surgery or cath, it is not uncommon for BP to drop significantly, so adrenelin and other meds will be administered to increase and normalize BP until the body can compensate for blood loss or minor heart damage

If your husband had LBP then meds would be prescribed to boost it to a more moderate, normalized level. Both extremes can be dangerous to heart and life.

My husband had surgery, and now he is losing weight, he has no strength, he is weak, his blood pressure drops, and his heart rate is high. He had a blood transfusion. Please help me understand what happened.
