I have a lump too, on my left side of my groin. It been there for two years.. My doctor said it was a swollen gland. She told me to ovid messing with it and to not shave their, which i still do.. But, it use to come and go, I wanted it out at one time and when she went to go check it the second time, it was gone and i havent been back to to her. well.. i found it again.. not sure when it came back but it's there now and it rubs on my jeans and has a soar feeling to it and it will itch. I am not sure if it has grown any.. I think i notice it when i get closer to my period time.. but i ended mine a few weeks ago and well it's still there.. so i dont know.. it's a weird thing to have.. as long as it's not dangerous.. I rather not let them cut it out.. but maybe one day.. I have been having weird bleeding and clotting problems and cramping latley and i get scared something is wrong but i am to stubborn to go and find out.. Sometime i think it sucks to be a woman at times with all this bull we have to deal with.. I think hormones and stress has a lot to do with problems with our periods or some how link things...

Hi guys....

I have the same problem. The best way to describe it in my scenario is that it's in my right inner thigh close to the groin area. I make light of this situation by saying that it looks like i'm growing a 'testie'. But it really isn't any joking matter. Its soft... i thought it was just fat because i had gained some weight. I was feeling around and i do feel like a little marble size ball in that inflammed area. It's movable not painfull but a bit tender and obviously uncomfortable to look at. saw my doc and she schedualed an appointment for tomorrow a.m. for an ultrasound. She believes its lipoma. Pending ultrasound reports we will see if a biopsy is necessary to make sure it's not cancerous. i will keep you guys posted but either way you should see your doctor to seek medical advise.

I have this, its like a little lump like right on the tendon from my groin to my thigh on the inside of my left leg.. i can feel it painful when my underwear rub on it, and i initially tried to pop it thinking it was an ingrown hair or pimple or something which probably made it worse.. its only small.. like maybe 1cm at the most but it hurts now.. maybe i bruised whatever it was?

If you  are male, this may be a hernia, and you should see a doctor as soon as possible. Hernias are very easily repaired with simple, out patient surgery, but can grow more serious if not treated. They are very common and nothing much to worry about, but you really should get it looked at.

I have hiadradenitis supperative and I get the same thing you're all talking about, doctors say it could be linked to my HS or could just be a boil, you should see a doctor really! If it's HS it's best to do something about it sooner!

I have the same thing. I went to the doctor and he told me it was thrombophlebitis. It's easily reversible with warm compresses four times a day for ten minutes each and antiinflammatory medicine, such as naproxen or ibuprofen.

Unfortunately, the doctor wanted a second opinion and the results of my ultrasound indicated that it was not thrombophlebitis. Now he wants me to get a biopsy to see what it really is. (Probably a tumor). I still have no clue what it is and it's been almost two months of having it. Oh and I haven't gone to get a biopsy yet because it can cost anywhere from $100-$400 just for a consultation.

Just because mine's not thrombophlebitis, doesn't mean yours isn't. Try the treatment, and if it doesn't start improving, I suggest going to the doctor.

I have the same thing , and i normally get it around my period . But im on the shot and don't have one , i went to the doctor for it once and she said it was a swollen lymph node and to drink gaterade and it should go away . Which really means its not getting enough fiber , and i am in a nursing class and i asked my teacher and she said the same and that your body isnt getting enough fiber , I hope this helps some !

thrombophelitis is mainly i clott and its not a tumor because if it were he would have found that right away , plus it would be hard and not very able to be squashed . mostly because not enough fiber going thru your system , more peanuts , gaterade , etc.

Hi All,

If this is the same condition that I have  been experiencing over the last two years it is very painful. I get large (up to 2'' by 2'') hard lumps between my thighs every so often.6' 185lbs....not slim but not terribly over weight. I am like  They are very painful for me and last like a month or two sometimes. The only remedy I have found to slightly quiet the pain was warmth. I will take a towel, soak it in water, microwave it for a short period and apply it to the affected area. I have also spent extended periods of time in the shower allowing scalding hot water to flow over it. I am actually experiencing one currently so I feel for any one who comes across this site with the same conditions. From some of the research I have been able to collect, I have found that my condition is probably a cyst. The only way to rid myself of said cyst is to have it removed surgically. If I tough it out, the lump will eventually go away on its own. Due to the severity of it, the cyst will ruin the cell that it has been inhabiting and leave behind a nasty purple scar where it has stretched the cell. This is all that I know....I will definitely be looking into this hidradenitis suppurativa though. Good luck all.

I get cysts that can be popped... sometimes they are deep and i have to prick my skin so all the puss gets out..  Sometimes they go away on there own after trying to pop them unsuccessfully..  i get them from sweating and having a lot of hair in the area.  I also used to get palodial cysts which you get right on your tailbone those stopped occurring once all my hair disappeared from constantly getting cysts and popping them.  My doctor told me not to worry that usually when your a fat bastard like iam and you sweat and my fat hairy legs rub together that i end up getting cysts the best thing would be to lose a lot of weight and try not to sweat lol or take lots of showers.

Hi everyone i currently have one in the same area. I went to the doctor a while back about the lumps that may form around your arm pit just in case someone gets those as well. Well i am here to tell you that first the one around your groin is a cyst. This cyst needs to be popped so the pus can come out. However only attempt to pop it if you can see a head. If not WAIT a few days as trying to pop it is very painful. This cyst should not last more than a week at best. If however it does please go see a doctor. Main things you need to know. From what i was told this is normal. That they do not know what causes it. Third there is no specific treatment for it, However i find that shaving my armpits as well as my groin area allows for easier cleaning and much less cyst appear. Now what the doctor me about the armpit was that it was just a swollen lymph node
