Hey guys this is all totally normal but I do have some solid suggestions. I have smoked and vaporized a lot the last 9 years but whenever I quit I've always felt more cloudy and unaware the next 4-10 days following my last session. I have quit 4 times since I started and each time I have tried different tactics.
What I have found is that daily exercise works the best and speeds the recovery process 10 fold. I am talking about going out a long run where the endorphins in your brain are released after about the 40 minute mark. If you've ever heard of the runners high, it is was of the best feelings you will ever experience. I recommend trying to run at a slow pace if you are not in good shape for at least a half hour and build your way up. This also helps with insomnia! Aside from vigorous exercise which helps diminish the grogily feeling, there are quite a few vitamins that will help with the moodiness, cloudiness, etc. First and foremost, Ashwagandha has been a god send for balancing anxiety and stabilizing energy levels. I also recommend taking a B complex vitamin which also sustains energy levels and gives your body the B-vitamins that it's lacking due to your inability to eat. For sleeping go pick up passion flower made by herb pharm. This stuff is filled with valerian root and acts as a sedative. It will put your anxiety and insomnia to rest, guaranteed! Beware if you take to much of this you will be exhausted all day! (Take the recommended dose, typically 30 drops) Everyone is different I know, but even if you try 2 out of the 4 things I mentioned, you will notice an immediate difference in your overall feeling. I just quit again for the 5th time and I think this is it for me. It has been 10 days and each day I feel better and better. I'm recalling friends from middle school that I hadn't thought about in 15 years, lol. My brain is almost completely rewired in less than 2 weeks and I haven't felt this good since high school. Best of luck and I hope this sheds some light

I smoked mj for 15 years, had no problems with my head until I started smoking the modern skunk stuff thats everywhere. Within months I began to suffer from a burning, swollen sensation in my head and loads more paranoia than I previously ever had. I quit for a few months and suffered weird dreams, the head pain went eventually, about 2 months later. I began smoking weed again and within weeks the swollen/burning head pain resumed along with depression etc so I have quit again, its been a month and the head pain is subsiding slowly. I used to love smoking weed and chilling out but it seems that it is just not worth the pain, also I think it must be going harm to the brain etc, Is it really worth it? :-(

Ya same here, its because weed can stay in your system for about 20-25 days

I to am having this. For me it was really weird because it started when I was sober rather than during the high hangover. Meaning what happened to me was, I got high, had a hangover, got sober, then I got like a flashback of feeling stoned. I am going to have to touch it out.

same here. I've quit before earlier this year for over 3 months. Then I started again and lo and behold it's turned even more quickly from a bit of hash on friday night to taking complete control of my life. Anyway, herbal teas, daily exercise (you have to sweat it out), plenty of fruit, veg, whole grains (this will be the vit B which helps to relax you.. keep calm). The THC sticks to fat cells but after about a week, notice big differences in circulation, chest, throat, gums stop bleeding etc.

The worst is the insomnia and the constant needing to go to the toilet in the night. But they do relent I recall and before long I was sleeping all the way through for 7 or 8 hours with maybe one pee during the night.

I've been a chronic caner for 18 years. Now on day 4.

If it's been 10 days since you last smoked then you are simply experiencing withdrawl symptoms. It's all normal and will only get better. The dopamine recpetors in your brain that are used to getting stimulated by THC are pissed off for now, but they'll sleep it off, so to speak.

You guys are tripping, lol. I've been smoking weed for eight years. Your not going to die from smoking weed. No one ever has. Unless they had some crazy insane heart disorder. Weed, is a plant. That's all. Alcohol is worse. Marijuana is completely organic. Yes, it is quite possible for someone to feel more zoned out but threes nothing wrong with your head, just snap out of it. When your stressed, just kick back, throw on your favorite songs and smoke a few bowls, and tell me it's not worth it. <3

I have smoked every day for the last 14yrs which is also half my life time. I have only ever smoke whatever the best weed of the times. I to am experiencing all same head symptoms. However I am also experiencing restless hands and feet. They get a wierd tickley feeling especially at night. I have to attribute this to a sudden increase in circulation. It's been 2 weeks since I quit and I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this in there hands and feet and how long it lasted for them?

i dont smoke often i've only done it a couple of times and both times were really spread out. after the first time i didnt get any weird foggy feeling but after the 2nd time i felt extremely weird like how all of you were describing. its been freakin me out and i dont know how to end it, its been about 3 months and it hasnt gone away. my friend said the same thing happened to her and once she smoked again the feeling went away. could it possibly be an "on and off" thing with some people? but i dont know if i should try smoking again, because im scared it will only amplify this feeling. any suggestions?

This is the most accurate post I have found in this blog. It can take a few months. When I was in Amsterdam I smoke each day for a long long time. Really premo greens. And I began to have reactions like panic attacks and just not able to pull my head together. I was not a newbie to the act of smoking and when I was in college did it alot. I think the quality of the greens is now so strong, that it had an affect on me over time that the type of regular quality smoke I was into years ago didnt cuase the same reaction. Possibly my body changing over time etc as well.

What ever it was, once it became un enjoyable I stopped. It took almost 7 or 8 moths to feel close to normal. No more anxiety issues and a very small amount of cloudyness still in my head but almost gone. Over time the cluody feeling should go away for good.

My advice is to just hang in there and it should pass. If you have really strong aches or pains that may be another issue related to weed or not, get it checked out, be honest w/ the Doctor about how much you smoke, get tests and see whats going on with you.

Weed does have adverse affects, although not likely to kill you. I can say for certain, I will never smoke again, I have no desire to do so, but have nothing against it or those who smoke it.
