Sorry about the typos. I meant wait a few months after you last smoked. Then to take lipoic acid tablets as an anti oxidant.

I think your body is not used to the change. I recently started smoking mj and I've felt sorta the same way about my head feeling dizzy or heavy my best bet which always helps me is to take naps whenever you feel that way or what had also helped me surprisingly is drinking heavy alcohol since it cools your system off I did that once when my head was hurting or it felt heavy and then I felt relaxed and cooled off and chill which really helped . Hope what I said helps

Hey I was just wondering if anyone kept feeling that slow constant feeling in the head, I have smoked weed for a few years and I started to feel this constant heaviness in my head , It doesn't effect much , just irritating , most likely isn't good though, I was searching up things when I found this conversation

I had smoked for nearly 11 years, multiple times a day. I quit 20 days ago. I still have that feeling. The more you smoke, and the longer you do, the longer it will take to feel "normal" again. It's getting better each day, but from my research and as a pharmaceutical student, I would guess it will take a few months for me. Proper diet and exercise is a must. My recommendation is to quit, and limit to once a week or once a month. I am quitting altogether, though.

I hope you find your modereration, or quit altogether. I had a great relationship with it, but I enjoyed it way too much and it became a routine.

Warm regards,

Hi All - I have been reading every single post and I do feel a bit more optimistic about this situation I now find myself in. I have been smoking heavy (bowls after bowls daily, never before work though) for 3 years now. For maybe a year and half now I have had a weird feeling in my head - just as y'all described. Cloudy, clogged, (especially my temples), foggy, memory isn't as sharp as it can be - but not my normal self. I'm constantly aware of this pressure in my head - I try to describe it to friends as a constant awareness of a feeling in my head - not pain but uncomfortable. This effect has definitely gotten worse the last week - which led me to this site. I think I do need to attempt a 3 month break - start there and see what happens. This will be hard for me as my house mates smoke daily as well - but at this point I'm willing to try anything. I also drink coffee daily which I plan to stop as well - that can't be a good chemical mix for the brain. If anyone has kind words, encouragment, or anything to say to me - I am open to anything! Thanks so much for listening - I hope I can get back to feeling like myself and I hope I can one day continue to enjoy herb.

Thanks dude. I'm going through it now. About 3 weeks now. I'm certainly clearer than I've been in time but there is still the fog in my brain. I was starting to get a bit concerned it wasn't going to go, as the last time I had a decent break was about 5 years ago and it only took two weeks to clear up. But I think the extra 5 years of smoking has meant it's now going to take a bit longer. Exercise definitely seems to speed it up.

Hey bro, reaching out to see if you might have experienced what I'm currently going through. Well actually - I'm the one who has the post from 5 days ago. I feel like I have a rubber band wrapped around my head, plus the fog, hard time falling and staying asleep, head pressure, it's driving me bat sh*t crazy. Im on day 3 of no coffee and no weed. Did you experience head pressure, similar to the rubber band effect I mentioned?

I've been feeling the same for about 53 days now comen up on two months. The foggy brain, slight anxiety, sleepless nights, low focus etc but that have gotten much better the only one is the brain fog that's still getting to me. I engage in healthy eating, exercise and all so I'm positive I will gain normalcy again

I am so glad I'm not alone here. I mean, I've smoked like about 2 1/2 grams in the past three days but I'm also struggling between using Nicorette gum and tobacco. Today, I haven't had a cigarette, I've used some of the gum, I've smoked just about half a gram, and I'm drinking chamomile to try and relax which does a little, but this spinning is uncomfortable. I'm in good physical shape, so I feel blessed there. I'm just scared.
