Hi, my first marina coil was put in for 7 years and then removed and another put in so thats now 5 years so 12 years in total now! Couple days ago my period started(I have been period free all along!) this is very different! I have been thinking of having the marina coil removed as I have suffered IBS for many a year and now wonder if the hormone in the marina is what causes it!
My concern is, if I have it removed for a little break, I obviously would come on a period but what would happen if I get it back in after lets say 6 weeks, would I bleed quite heavy for a while or???
The reason I was put on the marina coil in the first place was due to heavy periods so not looking forward to that all over again after all these years of not having periods!
Anyone able to answer for me?
