hi all im just a bit worried, i had a medical termination 4 weeks ago and had a IUS fitted in at the same time (coil). i had really heavy bleeding for the first 4days where i was changing my pad 5 times i an hour.. 4 days later the bleeding wasnt so heavy but i could really feel my coil (my partner to could feel the coil) i went to the doctor and he sent me on my way telling me theres nothig to worry about i stopped bleedig 2 weeks after the termination and ive had sex and not used anything as i fort i was covered with the coil. its now been 4 weeks coming on to 5 weeks and still had no period and gettig positive preg test should i be worried or is this normal?

The positive test is probably a result of your being pregnant, before the abortion. Your doctor can do a different kind of test, a quantitative test, which measure the level of hCG, the pregnancy hormones. If they are dropping, as they should be, you aren't pregnant.
It can take some time for your body to recover after an abortion. Your timing may be off for a bit.
Give it some time or see your doctor.

hi thank u for ur advice i have been up to the hospital and have discoved i has an incomplete terrmination so im having to go back tomorrow to have the d&c doe again to who ever is reading do not have the coil fitted at the same time as a surgical abortion it makes things alot more complecated and make sure if u have a gut feeling somethings not right go to a&e and dont leave untill u get a scan done.
