I've had it for 6 months now, and so far I LOVE IT. My periods got lighter and lighter. No weird side effects, no weight gain.... The only thing that I hated was the PAINFUL insertion. It was baaad. I suggest you take some ibuprofen before going to get it placed. Then I had cramps and felt horrible for 2-3 days. After that.... It was great! So far the Mirena gets 2 thumbs up from me...
