:D Hi, After feeling unwell for some 3 weeks with symptoms of chest pain, fluttering heart, a swollen ankle (now both swollen), bleeding gums and excruciating headache i decided to go to the doctor who sent me to the cardiology department, also telling me i had sprained my ankle! i took the treadmill test but had to stop as my blood pressure raised to 201/137 after 5 and a half minutes. I am 45 and reasonabley fit and have not been sick with anything for some 2 and a half years. After taking this test i was experiencing a dreadful headache - which got worse over the next 2 days! Anyway i collapsed at work and spent 12 days in hospital! Brain scans were done and they were fine - however microcytic anaemia was discovered at casulty but i was given no treatment. I have protien c defiency too for which i take 15mg of warfarin daily and have been doing so for the last 14 years. Hench my periods are heavy. I also have what i can only describe as a "football" in my right lung area which feels like it is trying to push its way out from my back!!!!
Are all the syptoms i describe associated to microcytic anaemia, and why have i not been given treatment. It is now a month since my collapse and i am due my period - will i suffer the same syptoms again if not treated? I am really confused.
Thanks
