Mirena IUD Bleeding after 3 years

And also me just yesterday as well along with more blood again today... this is with the Mirena IUD and I haven't had my period for 10 years... so what is it now? I think I may be in menopause because I'm getting a lot of hot flashes daily and am losing hair... just don't know so I'm going to make appointment tomorrow morning and you guys need to be checked out too!

Yes. The same thing with acne appearing all over my body-very disappointing to have a period every two weeks now and doctor only recommends removal or estrogen pills...

i've had it for 2years and had my period every month. but recently my husband and i split up and i got with someone else. About a month into our relationship, i started bleeding. i thought it was just my period, but then i noticed i had been bleeding for 3wks. well this week made 5wks before it just stopped. ive been having some pain during intercourse to the point i cant stand it. can anyone tell me what this may mean?

hi, I know this is really strange. I have had my mirena in now for 3 years and after it was inserted I bled as per normal for a few months, and then it stopped and now over the past 3 months at least twice a month I spott, I strat off by getting these really bad pains in my left side and then a day later I spot for a few days then its gone again, I also find that I am bloated, I am miserable, and my skin is terrible, I have mood swings of note, and I continously get Yeast Infections and I have tried everything to control it and nothing works? please is anyone else feeling the same and did taking the merina out help? as I am going to see gyni in two weeks to plead to get this things out, but I am terrified of having it removed, any advise would be greatly appreciated please.

I had the same thing happen to me this morning at 5am and i woke up to bleeding everywhere. I cant see my doc til Monday, if it gets worse im going to the er.

Wow! Im so glad I looked this problem up. Ive had the Mirena for 3 years. I havent had a period at all. Maybe a little spotting. Last week I had a full period that lasted 3-5 days. I went to use the bathroom this morning before I took a shower and I was bleeding pretty heavy. I got into the shower and blood ran down my legs. Something that never happened when I did have periods. I think its time to see a doctor.

You just descibed what I'm going thru perfectly. I'm freaking out bc going without a period for 4 years then all of a sudden pouring blood and bad cramps and back pain. I've called my dr so maybe he will hurry and get back with me. i just hope I'm ok. stuff like this scares me so bad. I'm hopin its just bc its close for me to get a new one. i know I'm absolutely miserable. ugh.

Ive had the mirena since Feb 2010 after I had my second son. I haven't had a period the whole time. I got it replaced Feb of this year 2015. Still no periods but, I have strange symptoms. I have symptoms associated with pregnancy but everytime I take a test its always negative. I always have tender breast, cramping, and fluttery feelings in my stomache and even sometimes feels like something kicks me but i know i am not pregnant!! its weird. Does anyone else have these symptoms????????

yes, I had mine for 2 years and 1 year of no periods and then all of a sudden the periods came back, I am confused about this happening.

Hi my name is Alicia I jst started spotting today but it was light and I don't remember when I spotted last year. What does it means since I just started today and I might get off today? There be times that I wake up or get up I get light headache. What does it mean when u get pinches in ur stomach and lower back pain?
