Recently i have been sexually active without protection and a week later i had spotting and cramping then i missed my period. I took two home pregnancy tests at one and three days after my missed period which both came back negative. Then i went to the doctor on the fifth day of missing my period and had a urine pregnancy test done which also came back negative but still have not had my period and continue to have mild cramping. Should i still be on the look out for possible pregnancy? I have never had an abnormal or missed period and i am 22.
My symptoms were very similar if not exactly the same as yours. Has my period as normal but right after it had ended i experienced cramping and light spotting which became heavier and the retreated, i alson had smelly vaginal discharge so i went straight to my doctor. The doctor performed a pap smear test and too swab tests as well. The test came back showing a chlamydia infection which caused a mild/moderate PID, i am now on atibiotics and it seems to be getting better. In my opinion you should go straight to your doctor, it might be nothing to worry about and even if it is just a chlamydia infection you have to get treated asap in order to prevent complications causing infertility etc. Do not panic though and do not pay attention to horror stories on the web, go to your doctor and he/she will know what the best treatment will be. :-D
