Missed period while breast feeding

same with me my son is w 18 months old and im 2 days late so im freaking out i also still breast feed but he feeds about fleaseor timesa day some one please give info

Higuera1983 any results as of yet? I have a 17mo who I try to only nurse at night and first thing in the morning, she probably nurses 3 times a day. I had my menstraul cycle in December, again in January, nothing in February... Took a pregnancy test 2 weeks ago with negative results. But here it is March... No menstraul cycle. I'm nervous :( please share your results!!!

Thank you for this post. I am breastfeeding my third girl and I have to say this time has been different. I did not start until she was 17months old. I started with my other two at 8 months. I was late the next two months after starting which before I was always regular.

Last month my menstration was alot shorter then ever before.

This month I missed it completly. I guess because I increased how much I feed her because she was sick. I still have the menstration symptoms but no period. Lots of negative pregnancy tests.. I'm just trying to enjoy being period free. I thank you for the post and now I can stop worrying.

I was breastfeeding my daughter and my period didnt come back for 5 mos. When it did come back i got it every month for four months now im two months late. I'm still nursing her so i dont know if that could be the reason. I have always been taking my temp and its been higher then normal.

I have 2 kids the youngest being 7 and a half months. I am nursing full time. I have been on the pill since about a month after she was born. my periods have been regular everymonth although sometimes i get a little spotting when im not supposed to. On monday (week ago) i took my last pill and usually i would start my period on wednesday. I didnt start. I took a test on saturday ..negative.. now its the following monday i took another test negative. I have been nauseous on and off, have had alot of headaches, been extremely tired. I am terrible at remembering my pills. i did take a couple late but always took it the next day (doubled up) i had some spotting two weeks ago or so but it only lasted a couple hours and was hardly visible. my doctor is away so i cant get in or even call her. what happened with everyone else? Preg or no?

Hi guys, the negative test results were accurate, I am not preggo. I decided to restart the mini pill to help with my crazy preggo thoughts :) my daughter will be 19 months, still nursing..... Whew.....

I am nursing a 3 month baby, my period is late like a month i got it the first time in march after birth in jan now i did not have it since am i pregnant again.

I am still feeding my 13month old son fairly regularly (about 5-6times a day) I had my first period since giving birth to him at 11 months, 28 days later I had a very light period for four days. I have been using "maybe baby" ovulation saliva stick & I have been ovulating at approx day 15 of cycle. Had sex 4 days prior to ovulation. Now period is MIA this month. Did two tests, one a few days before expected period and one the day of expected period. I am now 3 days late. Some slight cramping. Occasional headache and some nipple soreness at times. I don't think I am pregnant, more just wishing thinking! I am Going to lookout for ovulation again this month. If I don't ovulate or symptoms increase I think I will see a doctor! It's very mind boggling and stressful not knowing what's going on. But like above threads have said, I guess anything goes while breastfeeding!!

i am in the same position..my baby was born on feb 3..feb 8 i have my period also in march 8 ..now,,nothing..does breastfeeding affect my regular period??

I am currently breastfeeding my 7 month old boy. Period came last month after 6 months of not having them. Was expecting my period to resume back to normal like every month for this current month but it didn't came. I am 4 days late. Over the last 2 weeks, I was having constant headaches, nausea, cramps & spotting. I am worrying cause the first time I got pregnant was when I missed a period. I have always been a regular. Took a pregnancy test today but it was negative. So what advice should I go ahead with? See a doc? Or wait & take more pregnancy tests? Hope you ladies can give you input! ;)

Same thing is going on with me and my 12 month old! First period came last month when my son was 11 months now I'm 3days late. Four negative tests. I say call the doctor just to make sure everything is ok and no underline problem.

Hi all. I wasn't pregnant. My period came 4 days late. I am still breastfeeding my now 14 month old son & missed my period this month.... This time with a positive test result. So I am now pregnant with baby number 4. I am going to continue to breastfeed my son during the pregnancy as he is not ready to wean. Good luck to those who are wanting to conceive while still breastfeeding; it is possible :) xx

Same thing here ! I'm nursing my 13 month old exclusively I've had normal periods since he was 6 months old this is my first no show since I got preggo with him . I'm now 7 days late , I tested neg with a hpt about 4 days ago? I have the cramps , elevated temp and head aches like af is on its way but still nothing. Hubby and I are active but (careful) so to speak ... But I know accidents can happen. Any updates on fellow posters? Or advice ? Should I wait it out or test again?
