The same thing is happening to me right now had really bad cramps assumed I was getting my period but it never came my son is only six months old so really hoping I'm not this happened with my second daughter to my period was coming late and the tests were negative and I was not pregnant but it was right after I got my first.

Hi girls, I had the same problem where I got my first period at 7 months pp and after 4 periods NOTHING! I started freaking out and to make matters worse i didn't record exactly when i had my last period but i re kong it was at least a 40ish day cycle. I did two pregnancy test which were negative. I had ALL pregnancy symptoms and even spotting which i had convinced myself was the implantation bleeding and i was sort of feeling sick but no vomiting.
Anyway it turns out i am not pregnant even though I genuinely thought that i did.

I had my cycle while breastfeeding my 13mo old (birthday 6-22-12) on July 3, 2013. Fe;t as if I was going to start, had cramps on and offbut never did have a returning cycle and took several negative pregnancy tests and finally had a positive on Aug 17, 2013. Now I have once again started my cycle April 21, 2015 while breastfeeding my 13mo old (birthday 4-2-14) We have used protection and I am only 4 days late and several negative tests but I am terrified that I am pregnant again bcz it is the exact same as the previous pregnancy scare and I was pregnant! I have a 10yo boy, almost 3yo boy, and 14mo old boy. Momma is not ready for a 4th!!!!!

Hey all - I found this post when I wS going through a very similar situation and thought I'd share my outcome since so many want to know others outcomes.
I still bf my 14mo and have had my period regularly for 5 months, but this past month (period 6) it was late. I tested many times, all negative, and finally at 11 days late I got my period. It was like a slap in the face since we are ttc, but at least the waiting game is over!
I don't know if the lateness was all due to still bf, but I was also sick right before I was due to ovulate and I believe that pushed my ovulation back and might have changed my period too. Or maybe it's all a combination of that. Good luck to all you others out there - hope you get the results you want!

Hey, my husband and I are ttc baby number 2 but I am still breastfeeding DS, he is 1 on Monday and I plan to stop pretty soon after that. However I am 4 days late, so just wondering if any of you were actually pregnant? I did test on DD but negative. I have only had 2 periods since birth so guess it's quite likely that my periods are just irregular! X

I have spoken with 3 nurses and 1 doctor, not getting pregnant while your breastfeeding is an oldwives tale, you cAn still be ovulating even tho your period hasn't come, and yes period will come and go during breastfeeding, it's totally normal. Nurses told me to pay attention to my vody and I did realise that yes I was still ovulating while breastfeeding! Human body is pretty interestinf especially us pregnant mommies!

It is a big myth that you can not get pregnant while nursing. I exclusively breast fed my daughter never had a period return and got pregnant with my son while my daughter was 6months old now I feel like im in the same boat all over again with my dear daughter who is 9 montha old .

I too am worried and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one out there with problems like this. I had my son Nov.30 and bleed for like almost a month. Since then I have not had my period so it's been 7 months? I'm breastfeeding as well so I'm thinking it's because of that and my thyroid? A lot of ladies have posted and said it's normal.
