I was diagnosed with this condition when I was 35 and 3 months pregnant. The cardiologist that saw me, said this was so common that 5 out of 10 people in a room would have it. I read some info on your site that contradicts that fact. Please discuss any long term affects this coulsd have on me at a young age. My dr. says mitral valve regurgitation would not change the course of my life in any way, and not to change anything I would normally do because of it. Therefore, I haven't been overly concerned with it.

Thank you,
Kathy S.
