Trouble is when I get the pains, I eat and eat to make the problem worse, it's like my brain is telling me to eat, it's like a craving for food while i am in pain. All I have ate since being discharge out of hospital is brown bread sandwiches I dare not eat a lot now.

Hello I'm reading my story here over and over again. Not sure if anyone has addressed this, but I went to hospital for severe upper abdominal pain. I told the ER doctors where it was. Not the right, not the left but in the upper middle region. I had horrible contraction like pains as bad as childbirth. I was pretty much talked into thinking I needed my gallbladder removed. I wasn't sleeping, nauseated, pain. I could NOT sleep for about three weeks before the surgery and my hair was falling out

The doctor said it would hurt for maybe three or four days. I swear I would b***h slap his ass if he were right here because it hurt for weeks and I don't mean little wawa hurts - I mean to the point I asked my ex husband to help me because I couldn't cook anything. That's big.

That was November - it's March and I've never really fully recovered. Symptoms in fact have returned, but worse. I was up feeling pretty good and then WHAMMo - doctor says "Oh you need to exercise and lose weight because you're pre-diabetic and need to lose that stomach!" So elevated blood sugars, center pain - Not right lower or upper abdomen quadrant: CENTER PAIN. Fatigue.... Oh it's Chronic Fatigue. The nausea has come back and I know I feel DIABETIC not pre, but diabetic. I can no longer eat because it hurts.

Anyhow, I've just realized that I was given a gallbladder disease surgery for a tiny bit of sludge - so I've been misdiagnosed or maybe is just phase two of life without a gallbladder. I have done many of idiotic things, but that was just dumb as hell.

Hold on to your gallbladders, I read you can drink olive oil or something to remove sludge and stones and try a healthier diet and lifestyle. Some people think it's celiac. I swear it's parasites or something that is turning your immune systems against us all.

So that's all she wrote (me).....

Cheri Let me ask you a question. Did the Doctor pretty much tell you needed to remove your Gall bladder or it will be recurring and the Gall Bladder really has no function or purpose. If i we're you I would not wait Call a lawyer. Something might of been done wrong in the operation. More I read on lacroscopic surgery it sounds easy but so much can happen to you and everybody is different. The more i keep reading theres tons of people with the same issues. So in my eyes i would what I say. There is no harm.

I have the same problem. I had my gallbladder removed six years ago. Ever since I have painful and urgent bathroom breaks. Also my back is completely shot. It ruined my life. With the back pain my back feels like one great big bruise and the bathroom breaks are excrutiating. I always tell people there is another method other than surgery if it isn't too bad of a case there is a procedure that can be done. I seriously recommend it.

Hi guys,

I had mine out in Nov. and it has been a learning process.  I went to a dr. who put me on Welcol tablets.  I also take digestive enzymes and probiotics.  I do pretty well as long as I keep my diet to lower fat.  The problem is that the bile doesn't have a place to store up to help when we eat fatty meals.  It drips all day and night into our digestive track.  I would try eating more fiber, like oats, and avoid eating out.  I get sick every time I go out to eat.  There is just too much fat in the foods.  Eat fish and leaner meat, stay away from peanut butter and eggs.  Just remember its all about the fat:0  I hope you all can get your life back, or at least under control enough to enjoy it!

Have you done any research on parasites in the body or the gallbladder?

My friend had her gallbladder out 6 months ago. She said she wished she never had the surgery because now she hurts SO MUCH more than before. She has been to numberous doctors and they just keep giving her pain medicine or say she is having nerve problems, etc. She used to be very social and was a hard worker. Now she stays at home most of the time because of the intense pain. She said if she lies on the sofa this will give her a little bit of relief. I don't what to do to help my friend and feel bad for her.

I'm 45 years old had my gallblader removed 6 months ago and still felt pain and pressure in my liver however recently started seeing an acupuncturist.  After a few weekly visits and a special herbal remedie I am finally feeling better.  No pressure this last week just a few random pains but substantially less.  I finally feel there's some hope to bad it's not covered by my insurance, but if you can afford it I highly recommend it.  Good luck to you all and God bless!

Did you ever find out what the problem was? Is it related to pancreas maybe? I say that because of what I read today regarding what you described as "goes through and into my back".
