I have the same problem. I'm 18 male and just had the same problem like 3 days ago. I don't know what happen to me but I thought it might because of one of these things:
- Too many sit ups
- Too much chilli
- Air being too cold while sleeping
- Late meal

But after reading u guys' reply, did anyone find a solution? Please I really need to cure this asap as I'm going overseas in 2 weeks and gonna be living by myself :'(

I also wake up early then go to toilet and do some 'bombing'. But then I eat something in the morning. Then I have the same stomacache during the days till up to like 11 am. Then I go to toilet and 'release' then I feel better till like 10 pm at night.
What I'm afraid of, this will become worse and worse....

This is nothing serious like cancer right?

I have dealt with this all my life as well. Almost identical symptoms. I started taking 6-800mg of avil/ibuprofen and I have been fine ever since. I have tried every prescription med and over the counter med available, and never had any relief until the ibuprofen. Its a simple thing to try.

DOes that mean I have to consume that ibuprofen daily?

I have had the same issues for the last year or two. Luckily it happened after high school because if this happened in high school I would not be able to finish. It is really a pain having stomach aches all the time. Mine usually comes random times the morning are the worst. I can't eat anything spicy or two many ingredients it seems. I did gluten free which helped for a while but nothing really seemed to be able to stay good. I am 6'1 . 140pnds. They say I am not under weight but I can tell that I am. And yes it has been a huge struggle I started only working part time and luckily my college has all online classes also. It is also very draining being sick all the time, hard to wake up in morning and hard to do a lot of things. I sometimes get panic attacks because I am so afraid of being sick and not having a restroom around and it can be a very stressful thing. If anyone has found anything that helps them at all just let me know. I have seen 2 doctors and specialists and all of them can only find thickening in large bowel and severe indigestion and that's about it.

It can be very stressful and tough on a social life I constantly have to cancel hanging out with friends when I get randomly sick and it can weigh down on a lot of things in your life so I can agree with all of these responses.

Hello everyone, I am so happy to have found this thread, for the longest time I thought I suffered this alone...

I am a 28 year old male from South Florida, I'm 5'8" and I weigh approximately 123 pounds (about 16 pounds underweight)... For as long as I can remember I have had severe stomach pains in the morning, in fact 9 out of 10 mornings it IS what wakes me up...

Generally, this pain forces me out of bed and into the bathroom... It will usually persist through the morning until I've had 2-4 bowel movements which usually all occur within the first hour or two of my waking up...

My movements are most times accompanied with a soft, watery, pastel green stool (not diarrhea)...

I have become so accustomed to this morning routine that I often don't give it a second thought (except for the mornings where it hurts so bad I fear my appendix has burst and I'm in tears from the pain trying to decide whether to call a hospital or not)...

I don't have the best diet as I am often eating on the go, usually it's take-out Chinese, Pizza, or a sub from the local grocery store, but these problems have existed for as long as I can remember, even as a teen living at home cooking and eating my own home cooked meals (healthy foods: chicken, steaks, pastas, etc...).

I know that I have a very fast metabolism, because when I'm not having stomach pains, I can eat as much as someone twice my size. I was once kicked from an All You Can Eat buffet after my best friend James (6'2" about 175 pounds) spent two hours there consistently eating non-stop... We were told that since we had come in at lunch time, if we wanted to continue eating into dinner time we would have to pay for the buffet again at dinner prices... My friend and I are the type of people that will go to a family or church BBQ and we end up eating all the left-overs AFTER we've already had dinner...

I don't know what causes these pains, but I do know that once they're over with for the day, I feel great and I feel like a normal person, but for the first hour or two (sometimes more) of every day to feel the way I feel, it makes it very hard to keep a job, exercise, and just be a human being...

I hope this thread stays open until we all find a solution, I thank you all for sharing your experiences... I'm off to finish reading through the rest of this thread and see what info is already here...

i'm 28, 6ft1, 225 and for as long as I can remember if i wake up 'early' my stomach makes all kinds of noise, i'm very gassy, there is a bit of pain and I generally have to go to the bathroom 3-4 times within the first hr of being awake. I've never eaten breakfast simply because I was never hungry in the morning and because i've always had this discomfort. it's more annoying than anything else, especially when i was in school, because i'd have to get up earlier than i typically would to make sure that I wouldn't be going to the bathroom at school every fifteen minutes.
since college i've been lucky enough to be self-employed where i can make my own hours and i rarely have to wake up early and 9 out of 10 days feel great when i wake up at 9 or 10am. i do go the bathroom more often than most during the day (always have), but i'm fairly certain that this has to to with a wheat/dairy allergy.
i'm writing today because for the next couple months i will have to be up by 7 nearly every day for a very important job and really don't want to go thru my whole school experience once again. i did it today, it's now 9am and i feel terrible. if there are any natural remedies, vitamins, etc i'd love to hear about them. anything that can help, even a little...

I can relate with some of you as well, but others seem to have it a lot worse than I do.  I am almost 20, male, 6'0, 130 pounds.  In the mornings I have a pressure feeling in my gut/ slightly nauseous.  I normally can not eat for at least 2-4 hours after getting up because it causes the nauseous feeling to get much worse.  As long as I don't eat for a few hours it does not bother me so much.  No stabbing pains that wake me up like some people have described.  All through high school I did not eat breakfast because of this, so I would estimate this has been a problem for me for about 6 years.  Currently I have to get up really early (4:20am) for an internship and I typically drink a glass of water when I get to work (5:20) but do not eat breakfast until I break at 9am. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Im 18 and Ive had the same problem since I was about 14.

Some of the things i have found that helps is if I stick to a strict eating schedule morning lunch and dinner. However, I almost never can do this. Also, taking 2-3 tablets of fish oil in the morning can help quite a bit. The most effective remedy has been "herbal remedy," however, i cant do that every morning. However, i have found if you take "herbal remedy" right b4 you sleep, you will sleep well and actually wake up with a very nice appetite.

yes. I am 28, 5'9" 125#

for about two months I have had this same nausia that is spoken about here. It is above my belly button. I do not enjoy purging but it does help ease the morning sickness. I have tried the 'herbal' way as well which works ok. I was thinking it could be something with the balance senter (ears canal) like sea sickness. That or nerves or something physiological...?

Oh my God, I have this exact same thing. I'm a 17 year old male and I've started having this about a month ago. I had it a year ago but it went away and now it's back worse than ever. Every morning, I wake up to stomach aches and I feel like vomiting. I can't eat or drink anything without feeling like I'm gonna puke. It appears that if I eat a lot close to my bed time, it's worse the next morning. I hate this horrid feeling and sometimes I feel like just knocking myself out to not feel this crappy. Anyways, recently I tried doing this suction cup remedy and the first time I did it, I felt even worse than before and I couldn't sleep because I felt so bad. The second time, I felt pretty good and the third time, I felt amazing. I've only done suction cups 4 times with the help of a friend but now I have to go to an internship for 6 weeks without any treatment and I'm already starting to feel nauseous. Anyways, I really need some form of a solution to stop this as it's ruining everyday for me.

Edit: Oh yeah, I lost nearly 11 pounds in 3 weeks because my appetite has shrunk drastically. I used to eat about 2 plates a meal and now I can only eat half a plate without feeling sick.

I'm glad some other people have this, and it's not just me. I've been having stomachaches in the mornings at least once a week since I was probably 7 years old. Currently I'm 19, 5'8" and ~145 lbs. I have high pain tolerance -- I had to adapt to feeling like my stomach was being torn out every morning since I was little -- but the pain is still severe enough to incapacitate me most days.

Sometimes they would start around 4:30 am and wake me up, but sometimes they wouldn't start until 8 or 9, or even later. I can feel it coming about ten minutes before it happens so I dread it, and I think stress makes the pain worse. If I eat something heavy within 4 hours of waking up, I'll automatically get a terrible, terrible stomachache and need frequent bathroom trips for the next hour or more. I feel nauseated but usually won't throw up unless I drink black coffee. Teas with honey and milk work fine, but things like hot chocolate are too thick.

It's gotten worse since I've been in college, simply because of the convenience issues... I either go to class sans breakfast and am starving by noon, or I eat something as small as a piece of toast and feel sick/weak the rest of the day. And normal breakfast foods, like pancakes, eggs, whathaveyou, are an absolute no. (I don't have any allergies, though, because I can eat anything for dinner and digest it normally and without pain.)

Also, for the two days leading up to and after my period, as well as most of the days during, eating before 2pm has disastrous results. Eating within 2 hours of going to bed also makes it worse......

As for the celiac disease idea, I'll have to check into that. I'm Italian/Norweigian (with bits of Czech, Turkish, Slovak, etc) but that being said, most people probably have at least some "European" blood in them.

oh my gosh !
i  thought i was the only one in this world suffering with this, well i have the same symptoms.
i recently turned 16 years old and this has been happening for almost 2 or 3 months now, every single morning i wake up with a really bad cramp-like in my stomach that lasts around 2-3 minutes. im losing weight and getting really weak, i barely eat because i feel like throwing up ALL the time literately, i also get dizzy sometimes and i used to get a lot of headaches but they are starting to fade away and i also went to the doctor this weekend and he said there was nothing wrong and that i might just be in a lot of stress....but i doubt it and im soooooo tired of living like this...
i usually get in the middle of the year and goes away and comes back...i just feel like giving up on life sometimes :(

I know this is an old post, but I wanted to share with everyone a fairly rare condition that my son has. It involves frequent stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, food getting stuck in the throat, poor weight gain and many other symptoms not treated by antacids or proton pump inhibitors like prevacid, prilosec, etc... I encourage you to google eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders. These disorders were considered rare, but emerging as a much more common diagnosis as new research is helping doctors detect them more easily. It occurs most often in males and symptoms can show as early as infanthood or as late as adulthood. Please read more on the American Partnership for Eosinophilic Disorders website...www.apfed.org .

I am researching for info for my son's stomach aches and nausea which he has every morning.  What I find interesting about all of these comments is that most of you are tall and sometimes slender.  My son is 6'2 and maybe 150lbs.  He also is always tired.  My neice has had the same thing along with bad headaches.  For over a year now she has taken wheat and dairy out of her diet - she is extremmely better.  Do not take this out of your diet without first being tested - it throws the test off.  Good Luck to all.  Mom
