Hi. I had a mammo last month. Third mammo in my life , had one in 2002ish, 2012 and one month ago. I was SHOCKED this last time. Left feeling violated, damaged, and was in pain during each new clamping, and have been experiencing pain twinges or " zings" in each breast on each top side. This time they say they " might have seen a lymph node". I will NOT go through that again. My breasts Dont feel the same, are drooping, and the afore mentioned pain. No bedside manner either during this last one, just a singsongy " I know", as I whimpered. This has to stop!

Hello Scarednow

Yes, mammograms can be quite painful for some women. Usually the doctor will prescribe a pain killer - but several women acknowledge pain, soreness, drooping and other painful conditions. However this is necessary risk to prevent serious health issues - as in tumors and breast cancer. I sympathise with your condition, trust me every single woman needs to undergo these tests. Take care
