I have had the same issue for quite a number of years (15 or so). I am allergic to a lot of detergents and soaps. I also recently realized I am allergic to gluten. Make a list of what you eat and try using different soaps and detergents. I also double-rinse my undergarments when I do laundry and it has made a big difference.

I have had this for 4 years. I went to the doctor and one said it was a yeast infection and prescribed medication. This did not help and I went back to the doctor they said it could be a fungus and gave me a cream to use. This also did not help, they sent me to a specialist and checked for cancer and told me it wasn't cancer. They told me to use a lotion and it should go away. Didn't help went back to doctor and new doctor game me pills to get rid of a fungus. Didn't help she gave me another prescription and didn't help. I have used fungus cream, Vaseline, lotion nothing has helped. I am not sure what to do but if anyone cures this thing please post.

Yar peoples of the itch. For many who have posted here what you have is a combination of a moisture rash and the male version of a yeast infection. It occurs when you leave unwashed soap on your body, or anytime you dont properly dry yourself after getting your groin area wet. Its similar to "jock itch" which is a genital version of athletes foot, however it is VERY hard to cure. I developed mine from slobby masturbating habbits where I didnt clean up good enough afterwards and the "post cum" remained in my pubic hair, thus creating the moisture needed.
25. Ive had this since i was like 17. Similar to the above poster the doctor was a huge waste of time. 5 different DR. each under estimated the issue, each recommended topical anti fungal cream of various kinds. The problem is they never give you the real information that you need. First off if you have lots of pubic hair OR its thick/not trimmed/groomed the cream your applying will no get to your skin, it will be blocked by the hair, so at min trim so your treatment is effective. Secondly you need to avoid getting shampoo/soap on your groin area AT ALL costs. For 2 weeks I was washing my hair separately then showering afterwards to achieve this. The problem is when you lean forward the soap residue runs down your body and into your groin area before going down your legs and into the drain. WASH your hair before you shower, thus guaranteeing this does not happen. Then take a hot shower where you splash plain water on your nuts/groin area. After that dry yourself off normally except do not wipe your groin, gently pat yourself down. MOST IMPORTANTLY DO NOT PUT CLOTHES ON RIGHT AFTERWARDS! Lay on your bed in your room on your back, bend your knees and spread your legs, and AIR dry for 20-30 minutes! Watch tv, listen to music, read, play on your phone, etc to kill the time. If your in a rush or you want to speed up the process put a house hold fan between your legs. The problem is when you dry yourself with a towel your not 100% removing moisture, so when you put your clothes on your still damp. After you air dry your balls may become "hard" feeling but this is fine, least they are bone dry. From there put some 1%clotrimazole cream on as directed (you can buy a Caneston version of this cream for generic fungal infections without seeing a doctor). Do this for 2-3 weeks and youll have a vast improvement at min. Mine is still not completely gone but it barely itches, it hasnt had a major outbreak in a long time, and it isnt peeling anymore. I think at this point if i could get some kind of moisturizer on it i would be fully healed.
hope this helps. best of luck.

Hello Everyone. I am the guest who posted about getting annoyed reading pages of comments and no solutions in sight. My peeling scrotum stopped peeling. After about 2 days. The problem starts where your ball sack isn't as elastic anymore. When you touch it feels like some lizard skin. Then whenever i remove my undergarment i had see flakes of the skin all over it. When showering a huge chunk of skin would come off. That leaves the ball sack red and raw. Also hurts like a d when water hits the raw skin. Anyways once all that skinned peeled off. It stopped and the new raw skin started to become normal. So the problem kinda fixed itself.Ok it's not one bit consoling anyone reading this. However i did some research on what could possible give such a problem. At least to my believe. At the point when it occure. I was on antihistamines. Specifically this one called rhiniramine Not sure what they call it in other countries. One of the adverse drug effects of this drug is, it can cause Exfoliative dermatitis. In other words your skin starts to peel of in chunks. After further pondering. I concluded that i was accidentally overdosing myself on the drug. Instead taking every 12 hours i took every 6 hours causing the drug reaction. I believe the peeling must have stopped as the drug started to wash off my system. So yea, perhaps you all can look into this. At least for those who are on such drugs, when the peeling occurs. Other than that i do not have other help that i can provide on this matter.

I went to an urologist with the problem and was amazed that he called it a yeast infection. I thought that was something only women get. I am 71 and have known several women with yeast infections and they treat it regularly without alarm. My doctor prescribed KETOCONAZOLE CREAM 2%. It has reduced the itching and the redness. This morning, as I was stepping into the shower, I happened to scratch my balls, and - lo and behold - off came a dismaying amount of dead skin. That's why I looked up this post. I have also consulted with a pharmacy and they diagnosed it as a possible fungus. Suprisingly, the pharmacist suggested the baby diaper rash paste as well as that spray that is used between the toes for infection. The diaper rash also works good and it is cheap.
Back to my doctor. He advised washing twice a day until the problem went away. He cautioned that I needed to remove all soap and moisture from the scrotum. A simple toweling is not enough. I now stand in the closet with a floor fan directed at my scrotum and air dry the damn thing, before I apply medication. After the redness and itching go away, he suggested applying corn starch (don't laugh) over my balls to insure dryness. It is a fairly pleasant feeling.
It is my opinion that uringe is dripping on the skin and causing the problem, especially at night with frequent urination. Its getting to the point wherein I have to treat my dingaling like a woman treats her twat - dry off with toilet tissue! Hope this helps.

i got it to. i have had sex in the past week but she is my long term girl friend plus we all ways use condoms. i went the gum clinic the smorning were 3 doctors came in to take a look at it and all 3 agreed it was not an std all though they was at a lose to explain it. they took all the tests in case. but told me to see a dermatologist but i have been suffering from a long term body rash that comes and go's at will. i have had this for a few years. the doctors are at a lose to explain that to. they tried very strong anti histamines but that hardly controlled it. it was very scary for me as i had it in the end on my penis to which made it very num. i have been using a bowl of water and a wet rag where the doctor told me to only do twice an hour or less depending on how long it takes them to go dry as putting the moister back in your skin takes a little time.

Also, it is healthy to lightly exfoliate the dead skin since harmful bacteria can form beneath it...

You cannot catch psoriasis or spread it to others.
Psoriasis seems to be passed down through families. Doctors think it may be an autoimmune condition. This occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys healthy body tissue.
Usually, skin cells grow deep in the skin and rise to the surface about once a month. When you have psoriasis, this process takes place is too fast. Dead skin cells build up on the skin's surface.
