This happens most often when I am cold and almost always occurs only on the right side of my tongue/submandibular gland. It literally feels like someone is trying to pull my tongue out of my mouth, but the pain comes from under my jaw on the outside of my face, not the inside of my mouth. I have had this off and on for several years and would just like to know what it could be. Have never been treated nor asked a physician about this.
Anyone out there who has experienced anything similar? I can't find anything on the internet, and "pulled tongue" doesn't fit my symptoms.
Thank you.

Yes you most likely have an autoimmune disease.
