Trust me, I used to struggle with this as well. I was so shy about it because I thought it was ugly. But the hanging is normal. Usually it's from masturbating, sex and just wearing jeans too tight that pinch and pull on your labias (the inner lips). Hi Ladies, I do not have this but from what I have read it sounds like a vaginal prolapse, which means the inside of your vagina is or was protruding out of the labia (outside the vaginal lips). This is not an uncommon thing and I think you should not be as worried as you are (in terms of physical appearance).
We women are all born differently and shaped differently and if your b.f has a prob with this then well, maybe you two shouldn't be together and it sounds like he is too immature to handle real sexual intercourse at this time. I'm in the medical field and have learned about this. It is not uncommon for women to have extra skin or parts of their vagina to stick outside the lips. As a woman, I would suggest you go see your gynocologist just incase, but remember that everyone *women and men* are built differently and if one sexual partner is not willing to be mature and respectable of this then maybe they are not worth being with...just a suggestion and womanly insight.
