Me and my wife had unprotected sex 13 days before her periods were to start. For the first three days when she missed her periods, she had that feeling that her periods gonna start. At the same time she was feeling giddiness, nauseatic at some point. But on the 4th day, she had a large lump of blood that came out and then her period started. What could be the reason? Are there chances she could be pregnant?
If a period is delayed it will often be one that has more clots and perhaps a bit heavier too. Women can be delayed for many reasons including stress and hormone imbalances. Not all women have their period arrive on the day it should. I wouldn't be too concerned about this.

It's unlikely if she has started bleeding. She can still do a pregnancy test if you are worried, despite bleeding it can still show positive if she were. However, if it did show positive and she's bleeding, she'd then need to see the doctor right away as it could mean miscarriage.
