My daughter was suppose to have started her period on May 9th. She still hasn't started. She's taken several pregnancy tests herself and they all come out negative. She went to the doctor a month ago and the blood test came out negative as well. But, she's now lactating, has swollen breasts, cravings and feels real tired. Today, June 15, she called her doctor, thinking he would have her come in again, but he called in Provera for her to take for 7 days. He said this should make her start her period. My concern is, what if she is pregnant? Will Provera hurt her or the baby? What if it's a tubal pregnancy? Will the Provera make matters worse for my daugher? Thank You
You need to go to another doctor and have blood work done on her right away. She could be and if she takes the medicine she could harm the unborn child. So, don't have her take it and go see a doctor and get checked out and have blood work done. She might not be but better safe then sorry. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
