I had my saphneous nerve removed in July. I had damaged it in my scar tissue from previous knee surgeries. The pain was unbearable in the beginning but it goes away entirely however, the numbness stays....my nerve endings are buried deep within my muscles and will never reconnect. But, I promise it gets better. It's very rare that I have any pain associated with nerve pain, occasionally I get a random jolt of pain for less then 10 seconds and then its gone.
I'm glad to hear that it does get better. What do you think that you'd tell other people who suffered a similar injury? Do you think that this is applicable to other instances?
