It just seems as if I'm put in an awkward scenario because whenever I look at other guy's throats they all have adam's apples. Seriously every one I've seen, even hollywood actors. Not to mention it feels awkward to be investigating like that too. The reason I have a problem with not having one is that it's just gender division, and as ridiculous as it sounds, I feel less like a "man" for not having one. I care because my features are typically effiminate, such as my face and body structure. And when I tried to research, I couldn't find ANYTHING, so it made me feel worse.
Cheers Joey
However, the advice about about how important it is to have an adam's apple is sound. It's not important. Next you'll be worrying about how long your penis is, which is also irrelevant.
Takecare young man..
:-D
i think adams apples are given to us by cops and adams apples sounds to much like what christian say got us kicked out of eden... elv's like a high and deep voice, a range...
i'd rather stay in eden if that was true...

It's actually more common than you think, you're at a time in your life when it's very easy to be hard on yourself. I have no adam's apple but have a deep voice. I'm watching the new Hawaii 5-0 and some of the men have flat throats. Yup, it's pretty common.
I was 13 when my voice changed. I was only one of three other boys in my seventh grade class with a deep voice. I was tall and skinny then and a had a prominent adam's apple. I guess it's genetic because my dad has a huge adam's apple and so do my brothers. By the time I was in college I began to put on some weight. By my mid 20's I gained around 30 pounds and a lot in my neck. So my once protruding adam's apple was hardly noticeable anymore unless I tilted my head way back. I don't remember anybody ever saying anything about my adam's apple when I was younger. I don't think it's something a lot of people notice. And when you get older appearance isn't a big deal anymore.
