no period during inactive pills. can i get pregnant?

I am on birth control: 3 weeks of active pills and one week of inactive ones. My period is a little inconsistent and sometimes I get my period while still on the active pills. What im worried about is, if I'm not on my period during the week of inactive pills and have sex during this time, am I at a higher risk of getting pregnant?
