I am 36 yrs old. I have been on an anti-depressent (celexa) for about 5-6 years. My period stopped and never came back once I started this medication. A side effect I LOVED.
I would get my period maybe 1 time a year, a good strong period, and then it would be gone again.
3 months ago I got a prescription refill and within 4 days I started my period. I thought maybe I got a 'bad batch' and my dose was off a bit?
I ignored it.
SInce then I get random spotting ranging from literally 'spotting' to a blood clot about the size of a ping pong ball. I seem to get something about once every 4-5 days, and the bleeding will last a day or 2, and then disappear.
I have found my mood swings lately are terrible (always in a pizzy mood). I should also mention I am very overweight (obese) and thought this might be the reason. I also find it odd that I am getting all of these symptoms right after a new batch of my meds that have worked well for me for 6 years.
Any thoughts?

This is just my opinion....I don't like to read and run without posting a reply! I think your hormones are kicking back in and putting up a fight against the tablets. It could easily be a normal change in your cycle, as they all change from time-to-time. If it is worrying you though you should contact your health-care provider for advice.
