it's extremely annoying and is literally happening right now as I speak. my grandma's a doctor and thinks it's just anxiety. but whatever, some people have it for years and just get used to it. I've also been told that you can get botox to stop the twitching in certian areas, and since it isn't cosmetic your insurance should pay for it. just a thought(:

My nose begins to twitch at an onset of a cold, I take a high dose of vitamin c and the cold is prevented. Make sure you also eat well rounded meals, as you may be laking certain nutrients.

i have had an eye and a left nostril twitch for the past three days...i am starting to get concerned...im not sure if is due to stress or a lack of sleep but i don't think either one are enough to cause this. What's going on with me????

I too have this nose-twitching phenomenon. I checked the hairs in my nostrils thinking they were growing from inside out, because it feels like someone is tickling my left nostril with a teeny feather. Am I turning into a boar? Hairs in both nostrils are about the same. My left eye is also starting to vibrate. Why are many of us having this on the left side of our faces? I think it's stress.

Why does everyone just post c**p like 'I'm having the same problem..." instead of offering something constructive to the conversation?
One might argue that this comment isn't constructive to the conversation.  My reply to that would be that it is not meant to be constructive to the conversation... it's meant to be destructive...  Stop posting useless info... NO ONE CARES about your damn twitching nose unless you can offer an answer to the question asked.

btw...  I'm having the same problem! My nose just won't stop twitching. Weird...

hey,

i first had this problem last year for about a week and i have had it about 3 times since then (one of them including right now). I am not a doctor, but I do have a suggestion of something to try that I am going to try. I know that spasms or twitches are muscle contractions so maybe putting heat on the twitch a couple times a day will help. If not heat, maybe ice will work, or maybe a combination. Also, i think motrin or ibuprofen might help to reduce the swelling/irritation. Try it out and let me know :) Good luck fellow twitchers!

I think it's like the "eye twitch".  Could be from the lack of a good nights rest.  Even if you think you are getting enough sleep, you might be waking up a lot and not really noticing (if that makes sense). I get rid of my little eye/nose twitches by taking a power nap. No joke.  See if it helps!

I found this post because I wanted to see if anyone was having the same problem.  Last night I woke up yelling then went right back to bed about 3 times. This morning my nose was twitching like crazy, but I took a power nap and bam! it was gone.

Purelands, I completely agree with you. I'm 21 and maybe it's a combination of stress and caffiene. I've started to drink coffee everyday the past month and it's only made my nose "pulse" more.

Soooo Good luck to all, and if any of you find an answer, please post it!

I can't feel my nose twitching, but when looking through the mirrow I can see that one side moves about a lot when I breathe in, I think it is caused with a blocked sinus on that side.

This is a sign that allergies are present. This happens to me every year around spring. Last year my doctor prescribed a nasal spray for my allergies and my very irritating and noticeable nose twitching stopped. Hope that helps.

I don't think it is anything to do with allergies.  i've suffered from this for probably 10 years now.  I used to blame my glasses on squashing the vein, so its was just a thick blood vessel going through.  Since I had laser eye surgery i've still had it, so I know it is nothing to do with that.  It's been the worst in 10 years this week - not only do you get the visable movement, but it now spans down the whole right of my nose.

I think those saying stress of anxiety probably have it right to be honest.
