my nose has been twitching for a while now, i noticed it seems to happen after a long period of stress, so my theory is, that it is caused due to stress.

Well obviously by all the postings this is not uncommon though no one seems to know why. I'd say it's not due to caffeine because I've cut my intake by more than half over the past year and that hasn't changed. I would probably go with the stress theory though as I do seem to notice it more when I am stressed. My twitching is like a twitch/pulse sensation at the top and in the dip in the tip of my nose.

I'm really starting to worry about this twitch on my nose it's been going on for almost 2 weeks now and no one can see it happening and they think i am imagining this but it feels kinda like pulsating on the bridge of my nose or something of the sorts. i dont have a cold either so it's strange

You're most likely not imagining it. When mine does it no one including myself can see it. From what I've read from others and have noticed in myself, stress seems to be a common factor. I don't know what causes it, but I know mine isn't imagined. :)

Maybe we should all describe exactly what we feel and try to find-out what we have in common and what we don't have in -common.  Perhaps through this method of finding a set of similar commonalities we can, together, figure-out some possible causes.

I have a feeling on my left nostril which feels like my nose has been shot with novicane.  I don't feel a pulse, perhaps it just hasn't started yet or it wont.  Of course with most things, the more I think about it, the more it feels numbed like from novicane.  It just started last night around 10 pm.  I'm 27, male, European descent, 5'8".  I work at a computer, I drink coffee, I drive. I spend the end of most evenings in front of the tv, while my wife false asleep, or in-front of my computer finishing-up some work or something.  I just recently within the last 2 weeks started a new diet:  Fewer than 1600 and if I'm not paying attention less than 1200 calories, no breads or grains (Meaning low carbs), and a ton of fruit, chicken, and vegetables.  I have have slightly low HDL.  My father has had about 4 of heart attacks between the ages of 40 and 49.  My maternal grandmother, and only my grandmother as in nobody else ever had cancer, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 64.  I work-out 2-3 days per week.  I'm also up to date on all vaccinations including Meningitis (spent some time in London).  My paternal grandfather committed suicide.  I don't feel too anxious about anything.  The last 3 months I've been very lazy compared to normal and ever since I took this C4 on Friday, I've been very proactive and accomplishingly motivated.  I haven't taken any since then.  I may or may not have HPV, (How can you know if you're a male?) but have no other STDs or other injuries or health issues except for minor knee pain after running due to week hip-flexors.

If more of you can share some basic information like this which is still random enough to make it difficult to be identified, then we can determine if there is something common between us.

Mine is to the right of my nose, between my nose and my cheek. The pulsing is visible. I can actually see it happening in my lower peripheral, near my nostril. It is of course visible when looking in the mirror as well. It's in a place that I have no motor control, so it feels very strange, like something is moving around inside my face. If I try to move my face around, smile, or make any other expressions, it doesn't help...perhaps intensifies it for a second or two. However, if I hold it down with my finger, it stops until I release. So far, it only happens at night, usually on my hour long drive home, then continues through the evening on and off. I may have a slight cold, but nothing to speak of. It could be stress related, but I have had worse stress in the past. I hope this is helpful to someone else, and someone in the future can offer advice. Before I found this blog I was thinking mini-stroke? But, I'm only 35 years old and in above average shape for my age. I do drink coffee, but otherwise eat healthy. I used to smoke, but haven't for several months. I rarely take medication...haven't been to a doctor in nearly 10 years. (haven't needed one)

Forgot to mention: I may also have HPV (I know at least 1 ex girlfriend from college has it), I am a software developer, and I also spent some time in Europe recently. I lived there for the past year: Paris, Prague, Istanbul, and Spetses.
