I'm a 30 yr old male and started with numbness on the right side of my head about 3 weeks ago. Happens more often when I lay down or after being awake long. For me it goes away as soon as I open my mouth really wide, so try that. I think it could be a number of things. I started on a supplement called neurobiron a few months ago, also started a raw food diet and ate a bunch of raw fish. I do cross fit and sometimes over work my back, also work nights so don't get enough sleep, and then there's always stress. going to get a new prescription for my glasses and have my eyes dialated this week, if they see something I'll go to the doctor. For those of you freakig out, take a deep breath, the likelyhood of this being something devastating is very low, but if you want peace of mind deffinatly go to a doctor and pay several hundred dollars for an MRI, if anything is going on it will show up on the MRI.

I have the same exact thing. Did you ever figure out what was causing this?

I see that your post is from over a year ago, but when you say you've had panic attacks is this something that you feel your having or is this something that a doctor has told you your having?

Hi i'm 32 i was surprised to see that similar symptoms are wrote by other, this numbness comes only at the time of stress or if we think about anything that gives us tension. i stared to sleep for 9 hrs, increased my food and did hard workout in gym. it really helped me a loat because hard workout help us to reduce stress. so peoples who are suffering from this problems i'm sure that they don't do exercise. try this insted of wasting money for MRI, and medicines.

Have you had a Lyme disease test?

This was 5 years ago and no I never had a Lyme disease test done. I self medicated with 5htp which helped a lot. Got my sleeping pattern back on track shortly after I started taking it. Never did find out what it was, but is suspect it was sleep deprivation and a form of insomnia. My senses flare up and intensify whenever I don't get enough sleep

im a 52 year old female, have had numbness right side of head on and off the last 4 years, then for the past 6 months, it doesnt go away. i also have tightness and draw on right side of face. have had neck surgery about 4 years ago, but numbness just seems to be getting worse. have been to pain specialist, neurologists, and i feel like they think im stupid, because they dont find or do anything except more medication. i spent almost 6 hours in emergency room, because of symptoms that showed signs of stroke, again found nothing, but i go through this daily, and am now having severe headaches 2 or 3 times week. at my wits end.

NIKITTA; trust your doctors but you have to speak up i am 55 and have suffered with panic attacks throughout my life i tried all the natural ways breathing etc, the only thing that finally rescued me from myself was antidepressant paxil and lorazapam. I do not like having to take these but the alternative is worse.....cognitive therapy works for some people just know you need help! AND seak it xoxo
