Hi. I would get your thyroid levels checked out (having said that - my levels were fine but a scan of my neck showed lumps and I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer) I have since had my thyroid and cancer removed, and after radiation treatment am fine.

If you still have it, try getting off the zoloft. It started after your body had it built up in your system, 3 days. It is worth a try.

I had the exact symptoms for a few years on and off, i now know it it was a allergic reaction to ibroprofen and quite a dangerous reaction at that!
sometimes the reaction was delayed but since avoiding this medication I've had no problems. I would say you defintly have an allergy and its important you find out the cause.

Hi, I am 38 years old. Male. I have these a couple times a year. It's horrible. The first time I thought I had septicemia, where bowel content gets into the bloodstream. I associated with the itchy burning skin, this thought pattern triggered what I believe was s panic attack. I find it very easy to panic when it happens. My first was in 2012, called paramedics. I am so zapped when it's over I can't annunciate my words and have difficulty breathing. Not to mention the pain and dizziness and the weakness makes it almost impossible not to call for some help.

My family is convinced this is a Vasovagal attack. I never seem to feel I've gotten the right answer. But I have learned that panicking makes it worse. And fear can cause the vagas nerve to kick into overdrive making it all worse. I have to lay in bed and usually pass out from exhaustion as soon as the shivering stops enough. I am also extremely thirsty for hours after. I hate it and there is usually a moment I wish I could pass out or die so the pain will stop, but also fear falling unconscious out of fear of a big mess.. it's a horrible experience. I'd do anything to stop it from ever happening again. Hopefully some of this helps.

These same symptoms begin for me in September of last year. I had 5 "episodes" by November. It would start with itchy palms and sometimes feet, then I would have stomach pains, diareah and feel dizzy and hot. I'd lay on the cold floor until it stopped. One of the times I had hives and another time I fainted and hit my head on the floor. I also thought it was yellow food dye, although when I was being careful not to eat anything with yellow dye, it happened to me again. I went to the doctor and he hooked me up to a 24 hr holter monitor, to monitor my heart. He never called me with the results, but after calling them, the only thing they told me was that it was nothing to worry about. I also didn't have any episodes while wearing the holter monitor, so not sure that helped. They did say my bp drops when I stand from laying down and that eating some pure salt could help. I understand how that would cause the dizziness but not the other symptoms. I was introduced to Plexus (healthy supplements) in November, and I began taking the Slim, BioCleanse, and ProBio5. I have not had one episode since I began taking these supplements. I don't know if doctors can help me or how long the process would be, but Plexus has helped me feel healthier and less worried in the meantime.

All your symptoms are far too familiar, I found out I have alpha gal, red meat allergy. Get a blood test for it. No pork, or beef and some are also allergic to dairy. Good luck.

Tired of these attacks over a year ago

I also have these same symptoms. Mine started in March of 2015. I got pregnant in May of 2015. I had my gallbladder removed in November of 2016, because my Dr. thought that might be what was causing my problem. I still have the attacks every other month or so. My start off with burning hands and feet. I can tell when an attack is coming on. My feet and hands begin to turn bright red, then start to itch and burn. The itching soon spreads to the rest of my body. I also have stomach pains, diarrhea, and sometimes vomiting. I have also experienced muscle spasms twice during these attacks. I used to take benadryl at the onset of an attack. It would help very little. Does anyone have an answer as to what may be causing this? I have received allergy testing and all came back negative that I was allergic to anything.

NOTE: If you have Polycythemia stemming from Hemocrhomatosis, you cannot give blood to the Red Cross etc...
