Our house making us sick?? Fatigue,headaches,stomach trouble,nausea..

We have been in our house for three years (it's 8 years old). My son and daughter have been sick for a year. All blood tests negative so Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is "diagnosis." We did have Carbon Monoxide blood test, but negative. I am also concerned about the house being the culprit. Does anyone have other ideas of what cause of severe fatigue, headaches and flu-like symptoms could indicate? Mold? Fungus? Construction? Anything else? Otherwise, we have no pre-existing family issues or illnesses.

hello dawnmarie, what is possibly going on here is that you could be affected by ES. ES is electrical sensativity. More and more people are getting sick and don't have a clue on what it is and how it is affecting them. Your ps. of the cell tower could be a major cause of it affecting you. Maybe you have exposure to wi-fi, cell phones, dish and cable tv. beleive it or not ceiling fans, refrigerators, electric stove, micro wave ovens. my girl friend suffers from all that i mentioned and more. I took her out to diner in a public place and when we finished eating she was fried from everything in the resteraunt. like tv's, wi-fi, ceiling fans, freezers that buzzed, even the lighting. Maybe you live to close to an airport, they send out radio frequencies to the planes to land and take off. low flying planes, gut my girl friend as well as the radar. we live half mile from hospital, the emergency vehichles gut her from a half mile away because of the equipment in them. The hospital takes frozen deliveries several times a week and when the 18 wheeler delivers, they leave the truck running and it guts her, makes her feel electric. vibrations, water pressure in the ground, like someone turn things on. i seen my girl friend suffer so bad in her home, she couldn't get up. paralyzed. i get her away from her house and she finds releif, i bring her back and her symptoms come back. I have the same problems! switched from electric heat to natural gas!! What a mistake! now everytime I heat the house, I get sinus headaches, dizzyness, trouble breathing & sore lungs.. I hate Natural Gas, but my finances are very limited right now.! We have to find another source of heating!.

wow this sounds like me .... i have been sick for years and dont know where to turn .. i know i had or have mold and had to rip my entire house apart .. i was out of it for two years then moved back in and guess what still sick !!! i have been here for thirty years total and i have nevr been a healthy person .. but i do think it has something to do with the house. what do you do ?? i have had every test under the sun and they dont come up with anything conclusive ..how and what tests did you have to find this out as fgar as the fungus disease ?? where did you go for the diagnosis ??.

black mold causes this and it is usually in the walls, have it tested.

I have been having the same problems for years. As soon as i get home I immediatley feel Sick!  I get headaches, depression, suicidal thoughts, inability to think, All i want to do when i was home was lay down and cry.

i have tried everything i can possibly think of and had several friends come over to sniff out the problem, i had a myriad of tests ran,  i thought i fixed it a thousand times only to have it come back.  it is embarrassing all the things i have tried to do to fix it including throwing countless things out, change my diet, considering an exorcist or a hypnotist- selling the house, living in a hotel, leaving and never coming back, you name it

I believe i have figured it out but unfortunatley i have ended up in financial hard times in the process.  I lost my job due to the house sickness, and now i have bills piling up from repairmen.  I had to purchase new furniture and bedding thinking that the old ones could be causing the reaction only to find out it made no difference.  I purchased three different mattresses only to throw them out because i thought they could be causing the allergic reaction.  I basically ripped my whole house apart including tearing out the insulation in the attic to ripping up tiles.  The list goes on and on everything i tried to fix it. Finally i believe i have found the problem.  The dishwasher was giving off a very faint burnt electronic smell that was almost unnoticeable.  I dont know how i figured it out it was a bit of luck.  One time i was doing some work on the kitchen and i had unhooked the water hose and forgot to put it back on before running it.  The dishwasher ran with out any water and i think it may have damaged it.

you are not alone, o.O i have been sick for three years, when ever i came home i get sick i have body aches headaches fatigue everything, the doctor said fibromalgia now the whole family is sick my children , my husband different problem now we are sure the house make us sick we plan to sell the house next month. you should do something too. your health is first. good luck for all of us.

I have been having the same thing at my home. It became more evident this week when I spent four days at my son's house because I was so sick I need to be in town to be by the hospital. Everything cleared up, I mean everything in two days away from my home. Within returning home, just 24 hours later I am in the same condition I was in before I left for a few days. Oddly enough I have noticed that not only do I feel sick, by dog has had boughts with throwing up. I also have noted that I have a huge insect die off. I mean daily they are in various stages of death, "wasps" and I have not sprayed the house in three years because I thought that may have been the reason for my illness. I as well have undergone so many test now that I am sounding like a nut case to my doctors who just gave me up to fibromyalgia and depression. No one believes me anymore including my own husband and family. He by the way has also the same symptoms but believes it is just job related stress. There has got to be a answer somewhere. I will take any clue you get.

Obviously if multiple people in the household have similar symptoms this wouldn't make sense but a lot of the symptoms people are describing can be caused by Yeast Syndrome (Candida albicans overgrowth in the gut).  I've been suffering from a raging case for a couple years now, finally getting back to health.  But it can cause ALL SORTS of environmental and food sensitivities and all-over body problems!  Read "The Yeast Syndrome" by Dr. John. Morton Walker, D.P.M for the full scoop - it saved my life b/c Western docs had no ability/knowledge to help me and I am convinced I would have died.  Since then I see a Naturopath and clinical nutritionist who have gotten me back on my feet slowly but surely.  If I can help at least ONE person figure out what's wrong with them, it would all be worth it.  But on top of my issues, we do suspect we have a mold problem or something in our house, because the rest of my family has strange recurring problems that have yet to be explained.  We just haven't been sure where to start in terms of testing or looking for it.

My family lived in a rental that landlord withheld the fact it had mold...everywhere. myself and children were having allergy problems and nosebleeds. The landlord wouldnt fix the problem that i told him i was aware of and id have to call the health inspector. This got the landlord.on the ball and i had twenty mins to get my children out. I insisted they not pull the drywall with us in the home because disturbing it would cause it to go airborne. They ripped it out anyway and exposed me to airborne mold. Thank God i had my kids waiting outside. We were treated for allergic rhinitis and my kids responded to zyrtec and git better. I had just taken antibiotics and steroids that weakened my immune system. I had the mold tested and results showed an active colony of Chaetomium globosum which produces mycotoxins. My kids are better and im glad i got the brunt of it, but i get sicker everyday. We had to move and i was literally allergic to everything i owned. I would clean and pack until my eyes were almost swollen shut and my ankles swollen worse than when i was pregnant also had rashes popping up everywhere. My face would turn red purple and blue like a butterfly rash. I became allergic to.most food i try to eat whicj caused excruciating intestinal pain and GI tract bleeding. Headaches, arthritic pain, burning.in occupital nerve behind ear, hayfever, chronic fatigue but cant sleep. I could go on for hours of symptoms that sporatically flare up at random. Some days ate dibilitating. I havent eaten in almost six days now do im living off slim fast for nutrients. I have seen five doctors and they all say my problem is psychiatric (basically saying im crazy and its all in my head) even when i have visable symptoms. Im devastated and drs. treat me like im crazy and are very condescending. God forbid they admit they dont have enough experience to diagnose and treat me. This toxic mold has been used in warfare (yellow rain) and xan cause disease, immune disorder, infertility, cancer, neurological damage, and has been fatal. I have all these symptoms abnormal blood tests and each dr ive seen wont even look up info about this type of.mold that i have scientific proof of. They wont look at those results either. They all want me to seek psychiatric help. One dr even unknowingly to me tested.me for drugs! I feel like my body is gonna shut down at nite on the really bad nites and im told im crazy on drugs or the rash and bruises that just appear have been blamed on abuse at home! Idk what to do but these drs ate getting paid to treat me horribly like I'm a crazy drug using victim of domestic violence. IM A VICTIM OF TOXIC MOLD!!! These quacks are gonna sit back collect their money while their ignorance will be the death of me. But at this point all these drs are right about one thing...i AM crazy now after going through all this! Im devastated and at loss. I hope for the best and prepare for the worst to the point im 28yrs old and having a will made out just in case because im left completely untreated. I need someone who has half a brain and a medical degree to listen to me and actually learn about the toxic mold that has ravaged my body and try to help me in some way but they all think i need a padded room. Well at least id know the damn padded room was sanitary and mold/fungi free! NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE DANGER OF MOLD! (I must add that not all mold or black mold is toxic, i just happened to have the second to third most toxic mold there is)

Did u consider giving your house a good clean up? It could possibly be due to the dust and dirt that have been accumulating since a long time. I had the same issue and it did not occur to me until one of my friends suggested that we hire the services of a residential cleaning company. We called the Molly Maid services in UK and had a thorough clean up. The change was incredible.

Hello, to the desperate and smart reader who wants answers : these posts seem very familiar to what Im currently dealing with. Its like something from a Sci-Fi movie. Your best bet is to stay open minded and do not pin it to any one thing until you find out by experimenting yourself. If you 'really' want the truth, it sounds like you are suffering from a concentrated chemical (VOC) lingering in your home that is working through your 'olfactory system' ; passing the blood brain barrier through your nose. How can you tell?  1. Order a VOC air purifier and put it in your room. Let it run by your bed overnight when your sleeping. if you notice a considerable difference in your health when you wake BINGO. 

P.S. If you mentioned anything endocrine related you definitely want to order a VOC air purifier and perform this test .

 

Hello, I can relate to this post very well.  In late 2011 I purchased a home built in 1965.  Iremodeled it specifically removing old dry wall and the pop corn ceiling.  There was some dust that was notnecessarly visible, but the next day I wokeup with a soar throat and burning in my nose.  I really didn't think much of it but a week past by and my head my back and chest started hurting.  I started noticing my finger nails turNing bluish and wasconcerned.  I took my family out of the home and left.  I spent hundreds of dollars of air particle samples to see what was in the air.  It came backport lots of dust in the air most specifically Portland cement.  Well as you guys may know that's a really caustic material that can burn body parts if it's pour on you.  This dust was in the air really fine dust, but guess what  when it's mixed with the water in your lungs as u breath it it's burning ur inside oflungs messing them up.  As my doctor told me your lungs don't have nerves so u won't really know its damaging ur lun
