Our house making us sick?? Fatigue,headaches,stomach trouble,nausea..

Hi Just trying to find people with the same problem as me and came across this tread. I visit my Brothers house once a week and every time I get a head ache. But its getting worse now i get migranes and a very bad sick stomach. They look at me like i have 5 heads when I say its there house as I am the only one effected. I have ruled out mould and just really looking for other peoples thoughts on it ? I am going to the doctor but honestly what can he do ? He probably won't believe a word I say. I have to babysit my 2 nieces in that house and I just cant function there any more I am so afraid I will be sick to my stomach and trying to mind 2 infants. Any suggestions on what could be causing this ?

 I moved into a house about a month ago. It has a free standing wood stove. We are not using it yet. Everyday since I  have moved in I have been very ill. I am dizzy and sick to my stomach. I cannot wake up and I feel so weak I can barely leave my bed. I thought at first it was the flu but I left the house to see of I felt better and within a day I felt much better. I went back in and became ill within an hour of returning. It was built in the 1970's but the electrical and plumbing were done poorly. The day after I moved in I started to feel very ill, by three days in I couldn't even leave the house because I was so dizzy. My parents bought the house and I am paying rent. They refuse to believe me. I have a 7 year old daughter who has been feeling ill too. I have nowhere to go to get better. I stayed in a tent for two nights because I truly believe it it something in the house making us sick. 

Hi im mike I was this way for more than 20 years in my house even had all kinds of surgeries it turned out to be pet allergies and dust.

Pets can cause high levels of ammonia in your living space.

I have had these symtoms also , dizziness, achey, joints, headaches, foggy brain, etc. just like the other description of feeling like you were waking up from anesthetic when I wake up in the morning.  I go out hiking, or running and I am fine!!  Within a few hours of returning home I feel tired, nausea etc.  I bought an air purifyer, helps a little.  The last tenant claimed there was black mold and made him deathly ill.  Yet he was an avid smoker and aclchoholic.  I am healthy and take great food supplements which help immensly.  As a child, I hated being indoors, was always sick!!  Old Farm house?

Musty around all the undersink places.

I also experience this but not as frequently,

at work, or if I am in a huge furniture store.  Or big department stores!!

The food supplements help a lot!!

Now I know why I cannot funtion or stay focused on getting organized!!!

check for defective drywall (aka: incorrectly as chinese drywall) their are also likely cases of american and possibly other overseas made defective drywall - mostly in the past 10 - 15 years have we seen large amounts of defective drywall issues... predominately from one quarry in China, hence the name... some drywall sold inj the past years may have been rebranded overseas product and still sold as recently as the past 5 years, (not necessarily sold delibrately). Much of this is speculation and the few American defe ctive drywall cases have either been settled quietly or have not yet gone to court.

I'm having similar issues.  Moved into a new place where previous tenant was fine.  Seemed ok for about a month, then started getting headaches that are in sinus and come up behind the eyes, sore throat, sinus congetion, cough, and fatigue.  I did a huge cleaning, bought a hepa air filter.  I still seem to be having the issues.  Fortunately, I have someplace else to stay while I figure this out.  It may be new furnishings, which I am going to get rid of.  Then I'll call someone in for a mold check, I guess.  I can't think what else it could be.  I'll update you.  If anyone has any ideas, please share.

How old is your house?

I live in apartment complex..my place was gutted and redone..no mold. But I've been sick and dizzy to the point of falling. I've been checked out but the Dr. can't find anything wrong. I have migraines too. I have meds for migraines and nausea. My home has been checked, nothing. I can leave for 2hrs. And feel fine but as soon as I come home within 10 min. I'm dizzy and lightheaded and have to move slow. I do not get it. What is wrong !!??

We went threw this years ago. Headaches. Kids vomiting big white mucus. Always sick cramps body aches. Turns out bear reality from burlington sold us a toxic mold house. Doctors gave us the run around. Did research on it mold can change your dna. Make your hair fall out. We had older boy in hospital on and off for bleeding out of rectum and coughing blood. Husbandendedfor up in e.r. liver count high. I now have fibromolgia. All lasting stuff some 9 years later. We ripped house apart bleached used kilz paint. It came back. Move out.

I do not have mold!!! My air ducts are good too. My daughter has symptoms also since June when we first moved in. I would like to know could the Carpet be made with something to cause illness. It's the only thing I haven't had checked. ???

Hi, you don't happen to have a gas boiler do you because the symptoms sound very much like the effects of carbonmonoxide poisoning!

Are you still experiencing this? I have been going through all of this too. My daughter is having a REALLY hard time and I woke up last night unable to catch a good breath. I never had asthma until I moved into our home. I think its time to move. Our floor is actually flooded under the floor on our lowest level.

I am having the same problems that you are. I would like to talk if possible.
