I had an Oxford knee replacement in January 2016. Two weeks ago, 12/19, it popped as I was walking. It has popped about ten times, since. It is becoming more painful. Unfortunately, I have moved to another. I will see my new primary physician for a referral to a new knee specialist. The recovery went we'll, and I have not had any problem until this. I am a little depressed but am trying to be optometristic.

Any one willing to take the challenge of making a cynthetic-miniscus on a 3-D machine after a cat-scan, implant it by a small cut. It could be revolutionary, beside there is absolutely is no need in most cases, like in mine to cut out the entire original knee and replace it with a bullet-proof titanic joint. Only the "bearing" or miniscus need to be replaced to make the knee work properly. Anybody has the guts ? I wonder!

Have them do a nuclear scan, my uni started explanting at 6 months after surgery. I was told everything is ok.Dr's LIE. After pain and swelling for 4 years the uni implant finally came apart in my knee. Had emergency surgery for a total knee repkecement. The second Dr I went to ordered the nuclear scan at 3 years post op. That's when I found out I had lost term implant loosening. Good luck to you.

I had oxford partial knee relacements in both knees in October 2013. Im still not happy and in pain and there is minor swelling in both knees. The dr says, they look beautiful in the xray. Only one problem, my knees hurt. Pretty disgusted, have no intention of going back to my original ortho. Have seen others, they say oh, they are ok. Well, then why do they hurt. My sister had full knee replacement up in the Lehigh Valley Pa, and never had an ache or a problem. She had one big problem, a hip replacement that got infected. She passed away from the infection October 2016.

I had a Partial Knee Replacement, for 3 years it hurt like hell!!Was not put in correctly, and had to have it removed and put Complete one in!! Have had this for 2+ years now, and still have pain!! They say no infection, and not loosening, so why does it hurt?? Clicks, pops, they say that`s normal!! Pretty much said just live with it!! Wondering if it`s because I am on Disability???? Money???? Good days, bad days, as long as I am not on my feet for long.

Just an idea. I was researching this because of my sister's knee swelling of long duration. MHS. Metal hypersensitivity syndrome. Allergic reaction to parts of implant.
