My bearing popped out before I finished therapy. I am sorry, but I have no kind words for a floating bearing that has no stops. Apparently it is easy to go back in and replace the bearing, shucks I could do that at home with my Buck knife? So another procedure to fix it? Not much joy in my heart I am sorry to say.

I had my left knee partial done in 2015 and right knee partial in 2016 both used the Oxford device and I have no pain, no problem, and feel 100% since the procedures. In both procedures I was standing on the knee the same day and PT started the same week. back to work in 4 weeks.

I've had a partial knee using the Oxford device for over 11 years and it's still working wonderfully. I couldn't walk a block without a lot of pain before I had it done. Four months later I climbed the Pyramid to the Sun near Mexico City. It has never felt like I have a foreign object in my body. It feels as natural as my actual knee.

I had the Oxford knee replacement done on my left knee 7 months ago and it feels very good now. I was cycling hill repeats after two months and getting back into reasonable shape. I had my right knee done, also an Oxford six weeks ago and it is coming along nicely. It's still warm to the touch and a little swollen, which is what my left knee did as well, so I'm hopeful the right knee will be as successful as the left one. There has been at times quite a bit of pain, especially at night when trying to sleep, but I think that's all part of the healing process. Dr. Rathbun, my surgeon has been wonderful, honest, compassionate and even humorous at times. I continue to do the phyiso and have started cycling again to build strength back into my right knee. The trick is to exercise at the right level of exertion and duration, and not overdo it. I originally emphasized flexibility in my rehab, but am concentrating on strengthening now. Best wishes to everyone who's having such surgery.

On the 16th of May 2023, I had the Oxford procedure and have been going to Physical Therapy2-3 times per week (usually three). Maybe it is too early to be concerned by I have pain and stiffness and cannot squat yet but working on that. I am not as uncomfortable with the Oxford as I was with the osteoarthritis and bone-on-bone but still am not completely happy so far. I'll admit, I am impatient and want results NOW! But as I understand, it will take about a year to fully recover.
