well i am so relieved i am not on my own when it comes to having on going pains even if some days are not so bad after having my surgery due to my appendix burst back in november 2010 and nearly killed me, however the problem i had was i was 27 weeks pregnant with twins! and when your pregnant thats all the doctors see you for. so the twins came on their own on the 22nd of november that morning after being told the pains i had were pregnancy related and no way was i having these babies early! how wrong could they be! i have 3 older children and knew this pain was not related to the twins however 2 baby boys 3 months early straight to special unit and i then went down hill pain got worse after being moved around into around 4 wards they took me to ICU were i stayed in absolute pain. when one night i begged the doctor to help me because my words was i felt i was dying little did i know that was going to be the case if i hadnt said help! . well i was taken for a cat scan and yes they found 2 lots of a mass around my stomach and later that evening i was put in for surgery. i had the operation and now left with a scar from a inch above my pubic bone to a inch above my naval i cant lay on my back to sleep because of the pain and from day to day depending what i have done to get through my day at some point i am in pain around that area. i have not been back to the doctors over it. why because i am frighten that i will be back in hospital and i cant not after spending 3 weeks of my life lying there wondering about my family who depend on me so much, and the twins are 2 next month and so amazed they are here with me and apart of our life, i just worry that the pain i still get will stop me enjoying their life because i thought the pain would go over time! well not yet! having a great family does help for the understanding they have, reading some of your stories makes me feel these doctors need to do more studying into why we all suffer like this after surgery!!!! good luck to you all for the future and lets hope one day something or someone can help us all.
I still have pain after my appendix operation. I'm also having pain in the lower side of my stomach, and back pain with legs pain. Is this something common or not?
