I'm in similar position. I've used bio oil to massage into the surrounding tissue of wound site where it was tight and lumpy and sore to the touch which is working. Then I went back to full amount of pain relief and anti inflammatory s and started to walk more and more and slowly but surely it's getting better. Wearing support tights has also felt supportive. I still have a bit of a limp but it's definitely better. I've just gone back to work. Still do the exercises you were given early after the operation they do help. I've still got a lot of leg swelling on both sides but hopefully this will dwindle. Everyone is different keep persevering

1) Walk upstairs 2) Tie my shoes with arms on both sides of my legs. 3) Straight leg lifts in a prone position.
4) Sleep on either side. 5) Get up from the middle of the floor with no chair/table assist.
6) Walk without a walker or cane. 7) Climb out of the vertical ladder at the YMCA pool.
I still walk with a slight limp, and have pain on the final hip with weight bearing. I feel tightness in my back on that side also. Today I walked about a mile, which is the furthest I've walked since surgery, and although the pain was present for the whole walk, it didn't get worse. I've restarted limited Pilates, and lap swimming once a week. I'm planning to get occasional massage for the tightness on the right side.
