Everyone here, make sure you ask about LUPUS!
I get back my results next week, and my toes and half my foot had a sudden painful burning flare! I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something, but no, the first 3 flares were reallly Bad, then I've been having small-medium ones thereafter. Now its starting to Itch like heck from all the swelling episodes stretching it I guess, over and over.
They got little notches on the joints, and toes are purple when I get out of the shower or when I first wake up its bad trying to walk.

Some dumb doctor at a popular hospital actually tried to say fibromaylgia years ago, but my new doctor said I was too young for that and said no way. and it has spread to my hands since seeing doc last week waiting for tests, and my face is swelling to , cheeks actually laying on teeth! thats how swollen my mouth got. lol I will try to get back here, and post my test results! Some of you sound exactly like some of the early symptoms I had!

I have been reading the questions about identifying numbness and burning sensations in feet and hands. I can tell you that it is Fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 13 years ago and went through the same problems with finding my problem. I was blessed to find a Dr. that cared enough to want to help. My Dr. advised me to apply for my diability, which I qualified with no problem, and I have learned how to cope. You can get arm and wrist braces at pharmacy's to wear at night and it helps to ease the burning and numbness in your hands.....I hope this information helps......

Ok, for a year now I started getting real dizzy everyday and night, like i am gonna pass out along with severe numbness in my face, especially in my jawline and alot around my mouth and mytongue. My tongue tingles alot too. My doctor checked my blod sugar and checked me for MS..but nothing. I had two MRI's last year and alot of bloodwork. She seemed to think it was all anxiety. It went away for a month or so then in December I had a really bad attack at work and had to be rushed to the hospital. I was so weak and couldn't walk..my jaws clenched up and my speach was slurred. Right before this happened I saw black dots everywhere(an aura) then got real dizzy and numb everywhere. It got worse. Well they thought I was having a mild seizure but the Dr toldme I am healthy as a horse and it is all anxiety related. I ahve been on Xanax for a year. Well now, I am very weak everyday, have numbness in myfingers, face, feet and arms. Now my fingertips get really numb and kinda hurt. My throat feels a little tight and I have iregular heartbeats. My headaches are coming back and I have them everyday. Yhe xanax works but lately my symptoms are getting worse and it isn't doing it's job as well. Also my body aches alot and have pains here and there. Anyone with any input would be great. And I am glad I am not the only one who is suffering from these things...God help us! Goodluck everyone!

I too have been having all the above problems. About 3 months ago, I began to have constant pins and needles in my right hand. I went along to my GP who told me that it is "just" a trapped nerve. I went away pretty unconcerned. However, a couple of weeks later I now have pins and needles in my right foot, burning in both feet and the big toe on my left foot is numb constantly. Now I am beginning to get worried! Still my GP tells me that it is a trapped nerve!!!!! I am awaiting blood test results. At night i also experience the "falling asleep" feeling in my left leg. Please can someone help!!!! All this is beginning to drive me insane!!!!

Hi
I have similar symptoms that just really came on all at once and never left. I have pretty much constant "pins and needles" and have had reoccuring problems with my Ulnar nerve every night when I try to sleep. this week I've been getting strange cluster headaches and facial numbness as well as shaking inside and out. No Dr.'s can give me an answer. From my research I would suggest testing Calcium, magnesium, potassium, Vit B12 and thyroid. I would also suspect Fibromyalgie, Lyme disease and MS. I have an appointment for a MRI to check for MS and will go from there.
All the best!

I'm in exactly the same boat as yourself, but my pinky finger, the outside of my palm and ring finger (the latter ain't as numb as my pinky) on my left hand, have been like this for about 5 wks now... It's really got me thinking what could be the cause, and friends have told me it could be a trapped nerve/poor circulation (friends got no medical experience)... I haven't seen anyone about this bcoz, quite frankly, i'm embarresed to go and see someone only for a doctor, to brush it off like the above posts have...

About two months ago after starting back to an exercise routine (i'd taken a year off) I developed painful burning and pain in both my feet. then my feet started to periodically get numb and i felt some pins and needles. then all of these sensations started to appear in my pinky fingers, then my hands. now i have what feels like joint pain in my feet (mostly on the outer, bottom ridge) and my hands (on the outer sides and out palms). i have to wear Birkenstock sandals w/o socks to even be able to walk - without them i'd be totally screwed. mri shows nothing. emg shows nothing. blood tests show nothing. my neurologist has pretty much given up on me and referred me on to a rheumatologist. my dad has similar symptoms (which started in his mid-40's) and he now spends about 16 hours a day in bed in constant burning pain on all of his skin. i would like to avoid that - obviously. any help would be great. i'm only 36 years old with two small children. i've got a great family and wife and want to enjoy my life. Help if you can. Thanks.

[url] my suggestion 4u would be to do pranayam ,a form of breathing ,and the 2 kinds of pranayam u should do are anulom vilom&kapal bhati .All it wil cost u is half an hour of your time everyday. And do it with devotion and trust and i can guarantee that u will be cured :

    Anulom Pranayam:
    Sit comfortably.
    Close your eyes.
Close the right nostril with the right thumb.
Inhale slowly through the left nostril and fill your lungs with air.
Close your left nostril with the ring middle fingers of the right hand and open the right nostril.
Exhale slowly and completely with the right nostril.
Again inhale through the right nostril and fill your lungs.
Close the right nostril by pressing it with the right thumb.
Open the left nostril, breathe out slowly. (This process is one round of Anulom Vilom Pranayam.)
Continue for 15 minutes. You may take a minutes rest after every five minutes of exercise.

    Kapalbhati Pranayam:
    Sit erect.
Inhale through your nostrils a little and exhale through both nostrils forcefully.
Inhale again a little and follow with another forceful exhalation passively and effortlessly.
Continue these cycles. The frequency should be about 60 strokes/minute.
Continue doing this for 15 minutes. You may take a minutes rest after every five minutes.

Understand the Benefits of Pranayama Practice:
Depending on the intensity of the ailment a person doing regular Pranayam starts getting good results from day one. However it can take from one week to approximately nine months to get the complete benefits of Pranayam.
    Health changes can include:
Respiratory troubles clearing up, in addition to improvements to allergies, migraines, High blood pressure, diseases pertaining to the kidneys, and sexual dysfunction in males and females.

    The digestive system improves.
    Memory improves.
    Pain in the joints vanishes.
The process of aging is retarded. Falling of the hair or premature graying, the appearance of wrinkles on the face or other parts of the body at young age, diminution of eyesight etc. are all minimized.
The face becomes bright, luminous and calm.

    Tips
Do Pranayam preferably in the morning with an empty stomach.
If you prefer to do Pranayam in the evening, do it on an empty stomach and keep a gap of at least 5 hours between your meal and Pranayam.
Those who cannot sit in Asanas can sit on the chair and do Pranayam.
Never hold your breath while doing Pranayam.
Do about 1 to 5 minutes of jogging after Pranayam exercises as per your physical ability.

I hurt my back almost 4 years ago. Since then I have numbness in my lower and middle back right along the spine. I have numbness and tingling in my feet and sometimes up my ankles. My feet also swell on a daily basis. Now I get some tingling in my fingers, pain in my back especially when sitting and sometimes I wake up and my arm or leg with be numb and tingley like it's sleeping. I have had 2 MRI's and other tests done. They always come back with there is nothing wrong with me yet I know there is. If not then I wouldn't be in this awful pain DAILY. I'm about to go nuts. And now I don't have insurance so I guess I just have to suffer with it. Any suggestions???

I wanted to reply to what I read about you. I had went numb completly on my right side from head to toe. They thought I was having a stroke, however after numerous test they said nothing was wrong with me. I ended up at a chiroprator who specialized in sports injuries since I was an ex gymnast. They found that my neck was not curved and almost straight up and down after an injury years ago. I still have tingles and numbness in my hands, fingers, feet and sometimes arms and legs. I was told that it was nerve damage. That is also where the heat comes from. It was very interesting to finally find out what was happening. I also was told I have arthritis in my neck between my fourth and fifth disc. Not sure what they are going to do next. I have been dealing with this for about 6 years now. It comes and goes, not sure what makes it worse. I do wish however someone could fix me. Good luck with all of you who have these issue, I certainly understand.

I've read all your messages. I have had exactly the same symtoms for almost 3 years. It started after my Husband & I returned from our Honey Moon, with pain in my chest and tigtness in my arms, neck & legs. the burning & itching to my feet & ankles is driving me insane. I had one doctor tell me (in front of my husband) that it was caused by depression and to just go home and take anti-depressents. I've never felt, so cheated or alone.
Several Doctors later I finally found a Doctor who would listen, sent me for a CatScan. 1 x prolapsed disc pressing on the nerve, 4wks later off to the Back Specialist. Who advises me that I have a fracture to one of my lower discs which is causing the prolapse.
I dont know if it is the stress from not knowing, but I have a terrible dryness to my throat, pain in my neck & ears. I am 37 years old and I must be honest I don't know how much more I can continue with Doctors looking at me like i am a hypocondriact. It is so dibilitating. If I get any good news I will post you all. Love and Understanding to you all. Danniigirl Australia.
