My ear recently developed an odd lump on the earlobe, and I'm a bit scared, but I'm 16; does age rule out any chances of cancer?

If the lump you described appeared in the short period of time chances are that it’s just a pore or a hair follicle that has gotten inflamed. Skin on your ears is especially thin and sensitive but it also, like the rest of our skin, is covered with small openings which allow it to breathe and from which hair grows – the hair follicles. These follicles are also the places where acne forms because they allow dirt and bacteria to enter to the top layer of skin. Just don’t irritate it any further and the lump should go away on its own and if it doesn’t some anti-acne or antibacterial cream might be helpful.
