I had a Parathyroidectomy and a Transcervical thymectomy Jan 13th for hyperthyroidism. What was suppose to be a 1/2 hour surgery ended up being a 6 hour surgery (my poor hubby was pacing the floors). The scan kept showing HOT SPOTS but dr couldnt find the adenoma. Turns out right before they decided to try the OTHER side of my neck, they found 4 lodged in the thyroid itself. He said he disected ALOT. Because of all this my voice is messed up (hopefully temporarily). My grand daughter says I sound like i am talkin gunder the water. My major concern right now is Breathing difficulty _ constatntly spitting up clear mucus and wheezing (never did before) and choking here lately even when drinking water) Has anyone else had this happen ? or should I be concerned? Thanks forany help
