I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and started on fosomax (generic) 6 months ago. My TSH level was 5.54 and has risen to 7.06 in 6 months. I also have osteoperosis and am taking the once a week pill alendronate sodium. My calcium serum level has gone from 9.3 to 10.5 in the past 6 months since starting medication. I was also taking 1200 mg calcium daily. The recent urine test shows high calcium level at 426. In researching on my own, I keep coming up with parathyroidism, as I have almost all the symptoms. However, my doctor says the symptoms are stress related and in my head. I have NO stress in my life, except for the "doctors" reports. My question is: Is there any correlation between my TSH levels and hyperparathyroidism?

            parathyroidism as related to hypothyroidism
