Hi,
Around 18 months ago I noticed I had a lump sort of attached or connected to 1 of my testicles and stupidly convinced myself it's nothing and therefore done nothing about it until last week when my girlfriend noticed it.
The lump appears to be attached to the epidermis tubing (but not sure), is like a pea in both shape and size, it's fairly movable but cannot be completely seperated from the testicle. The lump isn't painful but if forcefully touched I get a dull pain for a minute or two.
I had an appointment with my doctor today and after her examination, I'm really not sure what to think. The good news is she think's it's highly unlikely to be cancerous as I've had it for so long without problems or it growing in size etc, however she had little idea what it could be and made arrangements for me to have an 'urgent scan' at the hospital (urgent being sometime in the next 2 weeks). The only thing she could say for certain was that the lump was not part of the testicle but it was connected in some way.
I just wondered if anybody could shed any light on what possibly could be the problem. I know I'll only know for certain after having the scan and getting the results but god knows how long that's going to take.
Thanks in advance.

Well, when you find out, let us know. I have a similar item, checked when I was in my mid twenties, still there now when I'm 50, and pretty much just a feature of the landscape. Doctor said pretty much the same thing as yours, didn't think it was cancer, but didn't offer to roll out the x-ray machine (or however they scan these days).
What's mine may not be yours, but sounds awfully familiar, and pretty obviously I've survived quite happily for over two decades with it, so it's not high (or present at all) on my list of threats to longevity!

Had my US scan today and thankfully it's just a cyst. It turns out that I've got a tiny cyst connected to my right testicle as well.
I've got an appointment with the Urologist in 10 days though to decide if anything needs to be done about it.

Well that's a bit of a relief, because I spotted a very similar lump in my right testicle as well, and I'm terrified! I can't afford cancer! Going to see a urologist as soon as I can...
Same thing with me. I haven't told anyone yet because, after looking it up, I've discovered that it's likely a spermatocele, which is apparently just a nuisance, and it's almost never done any harm to anyone. I don't know, maybe best to just ignore it and keep it to myself? It seems like there is no problem with it, and I've had it for a few months now. I am just worried it would actually be related to the sperm I'm producing and I don't want my parents to know ANYTHING about that, so whatever the case is, I'm just gonna ignore it and it will probably go that way for you, too, unless you decide to get it removed.
