I’ve heard that penencephalitis may occur almost 10 years after infection. How can it be prevented? I’ve heard that it causes severe physical and physical impairment. Please tell me more about this. Thanks.

It’s a subacute sclerosing panencephalitis that appears 6-12 years after natural measles infection. It is in fact manifestation of measles viral infection caused by immunization. Its incidence is 1 per million. Consequences are very severe, and mortality rate is very high. Majority of children that developed this kind of panencephalitis happened to had classical measles under the age of 2.
