I've tried letting the test of time take it's course, but it still hasn't gone away. I went out and bought Nuetrogena's deep face wash (it's a penetrating face wash thats so strong it leaves my skin dry afterwards) and that didn't help.

Now, like my dumbass always does, i tried to pop it and when i try it gets very painful to touch. Other pimples usually aren't this painful so I'm wondering what it is.

This pimple also appeared as a part of a cluster of them next to my left temple. I'd say like 4 smaller pimples, and the one on my temple which is the largest.

Why is it taking so long to go away? I've had this pimple close to a month now and my diet isn't bad, so I don't know why it's not leaving. Does anyone have an explanation? Is this herpes?
I should also add that the cluster of pimples isn't closely located next to each other. Theres the one on my temple...and just above it is a couple more, and just above those are a couple more.

Any advice would be wonderful...

Check it out with your doctor it may be that there is an infection in the pore of your skin, my husband had something similar on his ear which didn't go away then one day it got huge and he ended up at the doctor getting it cleaned out and was put on anit biotics. Good luck

Do you work out a lot and sweat? The temples are a notorious spot for athletes to break out. Try warm compresses with a little bit of calendula oil. You can find it in the essentials oil ate the health food store. You can also use bee propolis (available in herbal tincture at health food store) to fight any infection.

I have the same thing, plus ringing in my ear on the same side. Not sure if that is a separate issue. When I apply alcohol to the sore it diminishes but won't go away completely. But that may be because I have to do it consistently, which I don't have the discipline to do. Alcohol making it diminish may mean it is some kind of bacteria or virus. But I am not a doctor so can't say with authority.

I get the same thing on both temples if I drink cans of scotch, I guess because of the sugar content.

I have the same thing but it's also on my entire hair line . This is called seborrheic dermatitis I have a very mild form I have had it most of my life. My body produces too much yeast which causes dandruff like flakes in my hair and the bumbs around temple and forehead . I have recently just changed my diet to kill yeast in my body to not produce much and gone to there dermatologist to get a lotion and shampoo. It is still there but much better then it was
