I just had mine removed 2 days ago, after 4wks. The actual removal did not hurt at,all. The weird pain for the 4 min after, was worse! 4 minutes. I had my feet elevated a lot in that 4 weeks & always iced. also, I did very little heel walking, & only in the 3rd week, but always used walker or crutches for anything more than a few steps. Perhaps that made a difference? :-)

After reading way too much on the internet, I thought it would hurt way more than it did. It was relatively painless. 4 minutes of weird pain immediately after, while everything settled back down. Then.. nothing. :-)

Alot of write ups said it doesn't hurt but I had 6 pins removed 2 days ago. Trust me it hurts. It's nothing that you can live through but it does hurt a little. My feet are extremely tender and I still can not bend 1 of my feet.

I had hammer toe pinned. 6-8 weeks before pin came out. Complications with a bone on bottom of toe. 4 months out and Im still in pain. I did have other things done to my foot. I've only been able to wear a wide toe, ugly, black sneaker. Not happy at all! The reason I had the surgery was to be able to wear my beautiful high heels again. I may NEVER be able to wear a dressy heel again! Don't mess with your feet unless you have too much pain to live a normal, every day life!!!

I had my surgery 1 week ago today. 2nd toe with pin, I have my husbands 30th in 3.5 weeks and want my pink removed at week 3 instead of week 4. Is it worth it or should I suck it up and wait another week? Did you wear shoes shortly after? I'm a 28 year old female.

I had hammertoe surgery 19 days ago. One of the pins is coming out by itself. Is this a problem?

Were you in a wheel chair or how did you move around for 3 weeks if you did 8 toes and bunions on both feet?

HELP! had bunion and hammertoe surgery on 2nd toe with pins in big toe and second toe. I accidentally tripped and fell with crutches. I feel that I bumped the toes albeit they are wrapped with a hugh bandage. how were you able to walk if both feet were done with pins. I am being told 6-8 weeks on crutches.
