You should see a neurologist. I've had the same feelings and one of your symptoms regarding it being triggered by heat is one of the symptoms of MS. Not to scare you, but get it checked.

I have recently experienced painful pins and needles (more like knives and razors) when going from cold weather to a heated house or building. At first I thought the cold was causing my nerves to do this but I have since been outside in very cold weather for long periods but only experience the phenomena when I get inside. I strip my jacket and then most of my clothes as soon as I can that's about when the intensity reaches its height and i'm ineffectually scratching my entire body, probably looking like i'm having a seizure or something. I remember this happening for a short period years ago all though not nearly as bad and my GP just told me "It's common don't worry about"(hes no longer my GP, thank the Gods above). From what I've read here I think I will try the B-12 before making a appointment. I'm am curious if anybody else gets this specifically when going from cold to warm environments?

I should mention I don't experience this after I've been inside for several minutes, even with the heat cranked up. It seems to be triggered by the temperature change, not heat itself.

hello, I am going through this now for the last 6 months and it really affects ur daily life. So far I found that as soon as my blood pressure goes up it triggers the tingling and you then get anxious and you have to keep rubbing the tingles hoping they go away. I also find that when I am about to have sex it will trigger it and then it makes it very hard to continue when this happens. So far I started to take larazapam to help with the anxiety part of it so it can help calm me down so I don't get anxious but that did not help completely but I will keep you updated if I find out the real cause of this. I am gonna try the B-12 complex as this was what I am hearing from some of the replys so far. I have a doctors appointment coming up and I will be talking with other doctors so if anything works or even helps I will let you know asap ok.

The pins and needles might be sign of onset for diabetes. Lose weight by performing intensive exercises to reduce the itch.

I had similar feelings too and finally found a remedy through homeopathy. It is associated with her l neurological disorder and I suggest you guys to take Agaricus Mac 30 C (pills or liquid) for two days and it'll vanish.. any ways, I still recommend you to consult homeopathic doctor for further remedies. I've taken it for two days, but eventually the pinning and needling all over the body increased. But late it is gone. It works for 90%.

Do not go with my suggestion unless you're under any other medication.
