USE A BLOW DRYER TO DRY IT.*TAKE BENEDRYL. I TOOK ONE IN THE MORNING AND ONE AT NIGHT*DRINK A LOT OF WATER!!!!!
I HAD THIS RASH FOR 3 1/2 WEEKS TOTAL... BUT I STARTED DOING THIS AFTER WEEK 2 AND IT WENT AWAY IN ABOUT 8 DAYS!

I wouldn't say that tanning works amazingly well but it does help a bit - I am at the end of week three and tanned in week two (3 times - 4 mins, 6 mins, 6mins) and this week (3 times - 8 mins, 8 mins, 8 mins). I was cautious with how long I was on the bed for each time as did not want to burn - no good trying to clear one thing and ending up with skin cancer as a result...
I have also showered and bathed with head & shoulders and t-gel (although you need to be careful with the T-gel if tanning as well, as it can react with with UV), used Aveeno shower gel and moisturiser (sensitive skin), plus sudocrem until the start of week three and calamine lotion for the first week. Anti-histermine helped a bit with the itching but the calamine was a lot better.
I tried savalon advanced healing and some anti-fungal cream - no real improvement with either. Neosporin also has not done anything. I have been using a senstive facial scrub each day in the shower to help the skin renewal process and I think this has helped a bit.
Keeping cool also helps - reduced the itching and makes the rash less angry.
Final thing - I did go and see my acupunctrist twice (once in week two, once in week three). His diagnosis was that the rash is a 'heat' presentation in combination with the wind element. So he has treated me based on that to try and reduce any itching and the skin heat/inflamation. Cannot be sure whether this has had any impact based on everything else above but my view was that it couldn't do any harm!
The rash is now probably 75%improved at the end of week three - it is clear that the spots are fading in the order they appeared originally (so my arms and legs still have patches which are obvious. My chest is now completely clear and my stomach and back not far behind).
Good luck with whatever you try - you can clear it quicker than the 6-8 weeks quoted with a bit of effort and it is actually not the worst rash in the world because on the whole, it leaves your face/neck/arms/legs untouched...

i have had this for a few weeks now but its only starting to take off. My doctor told me there was nothing that could be done and that it had to run its course and it should be gone in a few months... i noticed last wk that it was beginning to show on my sides and stomach and rather than sit and do nothing i opted for the tanning bed. It has made some difference so far as the rash it beginning to disappear after two five minute sessions. The herald patch is still very visible but seems to be drying out.. hoping that another couple sessions should do the trick but will keep posted :) fingers crossed

Tan every other day. Make sure to go in the LOWEST, UV ray bed possible. I did a stand up one, it worked better.

Did you go to the tanning bed everyday to make the PR go away? Or did you go every other day? And is it better to keep it moisturized or let it dry out?
